Cozy year round home, located on a pristine lake nestled between two mountains in a small town in Northern New England. The perfect place for a family getaway. 150' of private lake frontage. Harvey's lake is known for the place of Jacques Cousteau's first dive. The property has two docks available for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and water skiing. Listen to the loons calling while sitting around the outdoor firepit, play croquet, badminton or take a walk to the local general store.

Inside our lovely home enjoy a very modern kitchen and two majestic stone fireplaces, flat screen TV with satellite and laundry room. Let the kids play in the game room while you enjoy the scenery from the sun room. Close by enjoy hiking, museums, antiquing and lovely fall foliage. For winter we are on the VAST trail for snowmobiling. Also snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and ice fishing with downhill skiing at Burke Mt. 25 miles away.

We are located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom, in W. Barnet, Vt. Hanover, NH (Dartmouth College) is 45 miles south. Stowe, Vt. and its unique surroundings and shops is 45 miles to the west and Lake Memphramagog on the Canadian border is 45 miles to the north. Beautiful Mt. Washington and the Cog railway are 50 miles to the east. Outlet shopping and Storyland in N. Conway NH is 65 miles away.

Every season has something to offer in our neck of the woods. We are most famous for our spectacular foliage in the fall. Winters are full of outdoor activities for the snow lovers. Spring brings maple syrup and may flowers. Summers we enjoy the hot days and cool nights.

This home was absolutely amanzing. The home, the landscaping, as well as the owners far exceeded our expectations. The home was clean, well stocked, well appointed and so much better than the pictures can show. We were in VT to attend our son's wedding and this was the perfect home to host both our family members and a rehearsal bbq for 40 people. Everything was just as described and everyone was stunned at the beauty of the area. The groom's elderly grandparents were very comfortable and the young people enjoyed canoeing and fishing from the dock. What a wonderful setting for our family to be together for the wedding fesitivites. All the appliances were top of the line and the kitchen had everything I needed for the week. We will certainly hope this property is availble for our next visit to such a beautiful area! Thank you Tina and Barclay for a perfect wedding week!

The lake was wonderful, as was the house. Both exceeded our expectations. Great relaxing vacation. Grocery store is approx 20 miles away so bring as much as you can with you. Not the place for those looking for a lot of attractions, restaurants or activities.
