This is the Maine we all love. Our cottage sits on an acre of bayfront land at Mere Point just 8 miles from Brunswick, the home of Bowdoin College. It is a very special place for the whole family to play and relax but mostly to enjoy the environment only Maine can offer. You can choose to swim, fish, kayak and canoe, bike ride, hike or just sit and contemplate. The sunsets from the deck that nearly hangs over the water’s edge provide the atmosphere to relax with family and friends and to talk about the day’s adventures. Shopping in Freeport, searching the art galleries in Brunswick or visiting the incredible maritime museum in Bath will keep you busy during a day away from the cottage. At night, attend the award winning summer musical theatre at Bowdoin, go to local movies or have a wonderful dining experience at any number of outstanding local restaurants. Back at the cottage, the warmth of the fireplace will send you off to a deep sleep. This is a very special place.

Nearest Airport: Portland International Jetport at 25 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Route 1 and Route 295 at 9 Miles
The cottage is on Casco Bay, 28 miles from Portland, 16 miles from Freeport and LLBean, and 8 miles from Brunswick. Going north, we are 40 miles from Boothbay Harbor and about 60 miles from Camden. The Harpswells, Orrs and Bailey’s Island and Cundy’s Harbor are great half-day trips to wonderful old Maine fishing villages.

Marina Facilities: Within walking distance, the State of Maine has built a beautiful boat ramp. This gives direct access to Casco Bay. We have a mooring which will accommodate a boat up to 40 feet or so. Paul's Marina is also within walking distance. It is a full service boat yard with fuel, marine supplies, sandwiches and fresh lobster.
