Great nearby shopping, antiques, crafts, art galleries, outlet mall and wonderful home decorating shops. Grandfather Mountain is just minutes away, stocked trout ponds in the private Lakes Community and the nearby Watauga River for fly fishing enthusiast. Breathtaking colors of the Blue Ridge Parkway area in the fall round out a year of fun and relaxation. Description continued: : Sleeping arrangements include a queen bed in master bedroom, queen bed in second (master type) bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa and a full futon in loft area. The kitchen is fully stocked with just about everything you will need. The loft is large enough to offer a second TV/VCR or play some foosball. Ceiling fans throughout the house. The cabin has HD digital cable with move channels, 2 large TVs including a 40' HD Flat screen HD TV in the main living area and is also equipped with very fast wireless high speed Internet access.
Relax and enjoy the view from one ogf the rocking chairs on the covered front porch or in front of the stone fireplace with gas logs. Enjoy the screened-in back porch and covered deck with gas and charcoal barbecue grills. Very large front yard with numerous giant boulders that kids love to climb. Backyard is bordered by mountain stream.

My family and I enjoyed a magical experience here Thanksgiving 2004. It snowed! The whole neighberhood looked like a Currier and Ives postcard. We enjoyed the hominess and well thought out comforts. We are already making plans for summer!
