Remodeled in 2009, this Summerwind Cottage boasts a new kitchen with granite counters & tile, new doors, a luxurious master bath with tiled walk-in shower, and more! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would have at home. You are sure to love the comfortably appointed screen porch for relaxation or dining, and the adjoining deck includes a Weber gas grill. In the living space you will find a flat panel TV, stereo, DVD player, and high speed Wi-Fi internet access. Each bedroom features a TV, extra pillows and blankets, and plenty of storage space. The master bedroom has a queen bed & is tucked on one side of the villa with a private bath featuring a walk-in tiled shower. On the other side of the living spaces are a second bedroom with queen, a full bath, and a third bedroom with two twin beds & two twin roll-out trundles. The home accommodates 6 adults or 4 adults and 4 children comfortably. Enjoy the beach with included beach toys, chairs, boogie boards & coolers.

  • The master bathroom has been completely remodeled. It features a walk-in framless glass shower, tile floor, granite counter with open vanity, and plenty of light. The hall bath has a tub/shower combination unit. An enclosed outside shower with changing area is located under the house at ground level.

Bedroom three has two twin beds with two roll-out twin trundles, a TV and Playstation 2. Each room has plenty of space to store your things, extra pillows, and extra blankets.

Beach Equipment Details: Included at the home for your use are beach chairs, sand toys, bocce ball, boogie boards, a skim board, coolers, a beach umbrella, and a wagon to haul everything in.

Additional Amenties at the Home: In addition to the interior amenities, the home has several other special features. We have a full-size second refrigerator in the storage room under the house. This is a very convenient place to store extra drinks and ice. We keep all our beach food and drinks here so we never have to carry them up and down the stairs. The outdoor shower is completely private with an enclosed changing area. Showering here after a day on the beach is a great way to avoid tracking sand into your room. On the deck adjoining the screened porch is the gas grill (extra propane tanks are located in the downstairs storage area) and a bistro set. The driveway accommodates three vehicles, two of which are covered.

A home away from home!

This is about my 15th time staying on the island and this property ranks high in my book. The villa was perfect for my family this trip (4 adults and 3 children!) It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied, and the screened-in porch a dream! We enjoyed the use of the bicycles, boogey boards, beach chairs, wagon, and sand toys. The shower downstairs made for an easier return home to rinse away much of the sand from the beach. The owner was true to their words of what their property offered to their renters. No surprises which makes for a good relaxing vacation! In a heartbeat I would recommend this property to family and friends and hope to return again on our next trip down!

This property was great. The accomadations were very nice. There are bicycles which were great for getting around the island. The walk to the beach was quick and a pretty one! I would reccomend this villa.

A Fun Experience

Summerwind Cottage was great for our family for a week. It slept 4 adults and 4 kids great, although the 3rd bedroom was a bit tight. Being close to the beach was nice and we also enjoyed the use of the bicycles. Getting to Charleston took about 45 minutes so it was easier to make a day of going there instead of quick trips. The island was beautiful. We didn't go into the ocean/river much though because there were dead jellyfish all over the beach and we figured there were a lot of live jellyfish in the water. The amenity cards were a nice perk and we used the pool daily. The house was well supplied and we had everything we needed for cooking/grilling. The cottage worked out well for our first stay in South Carolina.
