Located in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh, on the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage site, the property is ideally situated for exploring Edinburgh's historic Old and New Towns, with the famous Edinburgh Castle, Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Royal Mile only a short distance away. Stockbridge has a wide variety of shops, delicatessens, restaurants and bars located minutes from the property. Other attractions nearby include the Botanic Gardens and The Water Of Leith Walkway. This late 19th century property is over first and second floors with stunning views over two of Edinburgh's finest Georgian streets. Accommodation comprises an impressive drawing room, four bedrooms (each with a double bed), two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with range cooker. Additional features include Stereo Cable TV, DVD, CD and video (with a selection of Cd's, videos and DVDs), Broadband Internet connection (PC also available in the property), telephone and a selection of board games.

We had a great stay in this spacious accomodation, lots of room for 8 adults. Modernly updated while still maintaining lots of the old character. Good restaurants, bars and shopping in the area and the city centre is a pleasant 15 minute walk away. Would definately recommend this location.

This apartment is lovely, spacious, and comfortable. All the 4 ladies in our book group agreed this was a great location for us to attend the Fringe events and particularly the Book Fair that takes place in Charlotte Square. In our August 2006 stay,we so appreciated having a PC in the apartment so that we could easily book on-line and communicate with home. We had great fun exploring the interesting surrounding streets, many lovely gardens, as well as the shops and restaurants of Stockbridge. The furnishings are very comfortable for lounging around after a hard day of touring. Best of all was our gracious and charming hostess, Rona, who lives downstairs and who cheerfully stepped in to give advice and assistance way beyond what one normally expects in a short term rental. We highly recommend the Upper Villa.

This very cute apartment comfortably accomodated our party of six (3 adults and 3 teenagers). The rooms were smartly decorated, appliances are modern and we felt the layout was just right. We were able to get groceries nearby and also enjoyed eating out our first night. The owners were very gracious and friendly. We highly recommend this place and it will be our choice of stay when we return to Edinburgh.
