This quaint, 4-bedroom vacation beach cottage is newly-renovated and beautifully landscaped, with all the amenities needed for an enjoyable beach vacation! It is fully stocked with all the necessities to comfortably accommodate 8 people and has a full laundry room! Located on a peninsula just one block wide, you are 500' from the beach on one side and half a block from the Intracoastal on the other. The sunrises over the Ocean and sunsets over the Intracoastal are breathtaking! You will smell the salt-sea air and hear the surf rolling in the distance. Restaurants and shopping centers are nearby. Whether you seek a quiet, secluded place to sun, relax in a hot tub, or look forward to more activities, such as swimming, surfing, fishing, boating, biking, hiking on nature trails (the list is endless), this Beach Getaway offers it all!

The kitchen is fully-equipped; the laundry room has plenty of storage/counter-top space, and is stocked with beach towels. The living room has an entertainment center with a large (cable) TV and stereo system with surround sound. You also have wireless internet access! The backyard has a patio, hot tub, outside shower (hot/cold water) and bar area, and is totally secluded! The beach is only steps away...with a beach wagon/umbrella in the back shed/bar area for transporting beach essentials. We also can accommodate infants: $100 Rental Fee for (1) Kolcraft Stroller, (1) Flutterbye Dream Swing, (1) Pack 'N Play Crib.

We stayed at the pelican's next last year and had a wonderful time!! Everything was as it says in the brochour.. and peggy was such a great person to talk to .. my children wanted to return this year but if it was available, "we would stayed there again",, the hot tub was such a pleasure and the street is very peaceful, so i would recommend it to anyone if you want an affordable yet wonderful vacation house!!!

Best Vacation Ever!

We are actually currently staying at The Pelican's Next. We have one day left of our vacation and Peggy is probably going to have to kick us out because I don't want to go home! : ) The house is amazing. The pictures really, truly do not do this house justice. Amazing landscaping in the front and back yard!! This house has everything you need for a short walk to the beach. Lots of beach towels, beach toys, chairs, umbrella, fishing equipment and even a wagon to help drag it all to the beach. It's the perfect house for a family with small kids. With the fenced shaded back yard I felt very comfortable letting my 5 year old play in the kiddie pool (also comes with the house) on the patio as I watched her from the air conditioned dining room. Also great neighborhood and area. We have come across the nicest people in Ormond by the Sea! And did I forget to mention the beach? The beach which is an easy short walk away is amazing! Very clean beach with a lifeguard and not crowded at all! I could go on and on. You just really have to see this place for yourself!

Fun time for family of 6

We have a 4 children and found the house to be a perfect getaway. Peggy was very helpful and friendly. The house was clean and well stocked with all the things you need at the beach! Flagler has great fishing and a great pier restaurant. Daytona has a fun waterpark. The house is an easy walk to the beach (about a block and a half). We will definately stay again.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: Really appreciate the nice reviews from my guests...I have established an extended family, and plan on visiting many of my guests, in their home states, once I'm able to retire!

One thing...the house is only 1/2 block away...with the Intracoastal on one end, and the Ocean on the other.

Our Winter Vacation

We always look forward to our winter vacation in Florida, and we have found that we love to go to this area of Florida. We have visited lots of places in Florida but staying at Pelican's Nest is a place where we can really feel at home in. The listing description is very accurate--the property is super clean and very well maintained and if there is a problem they take care of it as quickly as possible. We love the restaurants, it seems like all we do is eat. We love to go to St. Augustine. We have stayed there twice and are scheduled to go back again next year. Would definitely recommend this property. Our dog loves it there too. Thanks Peggy & Cheryl!
