If anyone is looking for the comforts of home while on vacation, this home has it to the extreme! I could only wish this was my real home and live here year round. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out. We arrived and the place was all cleaned for us, all we had to do was bring our clothes and food. They owners supply everything you could possibly imagine (even a coffee grinder). All the comforts of home, so DON"T bring a thing other than what I mentioned! The house is situated on this beautiful river where everyday a huge steam boat travels through. You feel like you could reach out and touch it from the dock. The dock is just marvelous to sit on under the attached umbrella, and to boat watch as many boats travel up and down the river which connects two major lakes in either direction. Sebago Lake (2nd biggest lake in Maine) to your right, Long Lake (very big) to your left. You can fish off the dock (need license though), go cayaking with the two person cayak they have on their property (plently of different size life jackets in the cellar), there's 3 grills like a camp site at the end of the property right by the water with a fire pit and wood provided too! It's the total package, water you can swim in, dock to sit on, grills to cook on, chairs and picnic tables, firepit for smores at night, and then instead of the tent for sleep, a luxurous home to sleep in!! If anyone is interested in a relaxing clean place to stay, this is it......but if anyone is looking for excitement and on the go activities, this place has it too. It's located 5 minutes from downtown, (the causway) where you can rent jetskiis, take a seaplane ride, arcades, small rides for toddlers, mini golf, restaurants, boat rentals, shops, steam boat ride that goes past the house, or just plain people watching on the benches right on the lake. This vacation will go down as one of our best vacations. Thanks to the wonderful homeowners for opening up their beautiful home. I don't know if I could do that if I had a house like that.....I'd want it all to myself. We have booked next year already!
