Do Everything or Nothing At All:
The great thing about where our home is located is that you can keep busy all the time, or do nothing at all! Our favorite spot is on the screened porch at cocktail hour - Jimmy Buffet or Bob Marley on the stereo and a few Margaritas after a full day in the sun and surf! If you like to golf or fish, the options are many. Want to take the kids for the ride of their lives - head to Provincetown and take a whale watch tour!
In the evening, rent a movie or watch one from our video library or head to the Wellfleet Drive-In or Wellfleet Cinemas - just 10 minutes away. If you like hiking, there are interesting Indian artifacts to be found along the trails at Fort Hill by the cove, and great views of the Atlantic too. Learn all about Cape Cod History at the National Seashore museum and theater or visit Marconi Station (the first transatlantic cable was there), or climb Pilgrim Monument in P-town. Want to bike? There are over 30 miles of private trails on the Cape Cod Rail Trail.
Great Food, Shopping & Entertainment:
There are numerous restaurants in all the nearby towns - visit the Land Ho in Orleans for the best 'Chowdah' around! We will provide a list of our favorites in our guest book. There are numerous antique shops, gift stores and live entertainment to fill your evenings such as the Cape Playhouse (for Summer Stock Theater), Cape Cod Baseball League Games (college/MLB draft prospects), The Melody Tent (live big name music acts all summer long) and lots of live music at local bars and clubs. Most of these amenities are a short 10 -15 minute drive.
The Seashore - Why You'll Come Back!:
The best treasure in Cape Cod are the miles of beautiful beaches to explore - from the surf on the ocean-side to the warmer and calmer waters of Cape Cod Bay. Watch the sunrise over the Atlantic and watch the most incredible sunsets on Cape Cod Bay from beautiful Campground Beach. There are also many lakes and ponds to visit And Nickerson State Park in Brewster is one of the best kept secrets. Fish from the surf or rent a fishing charter and take on the blues and striped bass that visit us all season long!
Golf:
There are several great places to golf nearby. Captains Course in Brewster, Chequessett Yacht and Golf Club in Wellfleet, Highland Links in Truro are a few of our favorites!
