Amazing Family Vacation
We found this home to be an excellent place for our family vacation. We were a family of 6 adults/7 children and we found the home to be comfortable for us all. The property was clean and had all the amenities to make it an easy environment to relax and enjoy. The only thing I would like to give heads up to others is the heating is a little strange. It is toasty warm in the kitchen, dinning room and living room and very cool everywhere else. If you have a medical condition that does not suite you to be cold, plan on staying next to the fireplace and the couch is cozy to sleep on. (The beds were comfortable and warm for all us "normal" people).
Beside the heating which we did not receive an answer on how to correct while we were there, we really enjoyed the home and would like to stay again if we get to have another family vacation in Washington. Thank you for opening your home for others to make amazing memories that will be cherished forever.

Outdoor temperatures during the week of your stay were in the single digits, which makes it a bit more challenging to keep indoor temperatures stable. That said, perhaps unbeknownst to you, our maintenance manager did check on the home in response to a conversation you had with a fellow staff member about the heating problem. When he got to the Cabin to resolve the issue, he found the home vacant with the gas fireplace running in the living room, and several heat vents and doors to bedrooms closed. Two problems there... 1) the thermostat that controls the house temperature is located in the living room and if that room was the warmest in the house, the furnace thought it was warm everywhere; and 2) when heat vents and doors to outer areas of the house are closed, it interrupts the flow of ventilation throughout the home - even though it seemed like a possible fix for concentrating heat into the center of the house. We want to clarify that according to our records, maintenance did not receive a phone call nor any message from the answering service regarding this issue. The Maintenance Manager assessed the situation as best he could in your absence, and believed that by opening the doors and vents throughout the home, circulation of air would improve, and the problem should be resolved. He volunteered that if something like this were to happen in the future, he would follow-up with the guest by phone, just to be certain they were satisfied with the outcome.
