This is our family cabin that we have owned for 10 years. We live 25 minutes away in Essex Junction. Our children have grown up here and just love it.

Michele Gammal purchased this cabin in 2004
Everyone that stays here loves it, and you will too. It is quiet and relaxing and a lot of fun. Our kids were raised on the lake and have best memories. Come and make some of your own. It is also very clean.
The sandy beach is very safe and you can slowly walk into the lake. Great for people of all ages. Fishing is fabulous.
What a great place to stay! The location is perfect. Secluded and private...but a short drive or walk to 'town'.
My wife and I brought our two year old daughter and we had a great time. My daughter loved the "cave" beds (bunk beds) and especially loved the property. The beach was perfect for her to play on and the yard was a great size to run around on.
Inside was super clean and organized. While it's not a huge place, we didn't go there planning to spend our time inside, so that was not a big deal. My wife and I stayed out on the new deck with the queen sized futon, which was awesome. Very nice to wake up to those views every morning.
Lastly, Michelle was great. She checked on us the day we arrived and left, but also the morning after a massive wind storm blew in. She and her family cleaned up the beach (blown in lake weeds) and made sure we were ok.
Overall, this place was perfect. If we make it up to VT again, we will definitely stay here.
My kids keep asking to go back to this cabin. The cabin itself fits the quaint description, but it has that camping feel that you want on a vacation with the family on the lake. The property is well-stocked and really clean, while the gracious owners go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The fishing is very good, we caught several large bass and the large deck provided a relatively safe place for the kids to play and fish as well. The outdoor/lake "toys" are plentiful and available for use! The sunsets were spectacular and the nights by the fire were some of the more memorable moments of our trip.
This is a great place to get some real vacation, it's away from everything and yet "close enough" at the same time. The Blue Paddle was a fantastic culinary experience just around the corner and in the other direction a wonderful antique shop/barn. This cabin is highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time on our vacation here. It was the perfect mix of being able to relax and have lots of things for play. We had a 2 year old and 3 month old during our stay and the amenities suited us well. We loved the hammock, amazing sunsets, having a full kitchen, and of course the paddle boat. Very friendly owners who accommodated the fact that we had young children. We look forward to hopefully coming again soon!
Overall we really loved staying at this cottage. It is not fancy, but was immaculate and very well-stocked (kitchen, cleaning supplies, etc). It was great for the kids to be able to run about outside and what a wonderful, relaxing time to sit in the shade while the kids played. We gave this cabin 4 stars because we couldn't swim while we where there. The lake was really, really low. This, of course, is no fault of the owners. My only problem at all was that the owners did not let us know ahead of time so that we could do some research to find some places to swim since swimming at the house was not reasonable for kids (we did take the rowboat out and swim from that, but toddlers stayed behind). That said, the very, very nice owners came and raked the beach of all the rotting lake weeds which made the beach 100x nicer for us, they offered suggestions for things to do, and were really nice to me when I messed up and took the keys with me! We would definitely go back!
The rustic cabin is all we needed. The lakeside spot is beautiful, with a refreshing breeze and spectacular sunsets. The hammock and boats allow for taking full advantage of the lake. The beach was a bit mucky when we were there, but we still used it for swimming. Most of all, the owners are extremely nice and very attentive. They even replaced an oar that broke, so we could continue to enjoy the lake. Our 7 and 3 year olds enjoyed exploring -- it's a very safe and wholesome place for a family vacation.
This was our second stay at this VT lake home - our first stay was 2008. The home has all you need for a week of fun on the lake. The house has all the neccessities and does the job well. But to be honest with you will want to be sitting on the shore the most of your time there. The waterfront is great with a great dock. Bring your lounge chair out to the end of the dock and you can sit for hours. The owners built a second building next to this home that really adds to your privacy while visiting. We brought our kayaks and took them out every morning... the motor boat traffic did not concern us at all. They have a paddle boat available and the kids had a great time with it.
I recommend this vacation to anyone that enjoys boating, swimming and relaxing!
We are located in 'The Islands' of Vermont, just off of U.S. Route 2. Take Interstate 89 to Exit 17 and go east on U.S. Route 2 (toward Grand Isle). Follow for approximately 6 miles, continue over the causeway onto South Hero, continue for another 1.5 miles into the village of South Hero. Cross South Street/Hill Street and go another block, making a right at McGregor's Pharmacy onto Wally's Point Road. Stay to the right on Wally's Point Road and continue to the end. We are the last cabin on the left. It is has tan vinyl siding and a large two story garage to the left of it with matching siding. You are located on the east shore of Keeler's Bay with lovely westerly views over the bay.
