The local roadways are perfect for street or mountain biking with lake views to the east and west. Also located in the next town over is a local winery, the ferry to New York. The property is located just 20 miles from Burlington, VT - home to an abundance of restaurants, movie theaters, shopping malls, the Echo lake center museum, and outdoor events on the Church Street Marketplace. Nearest Ferry: Grand Isle, VT - Plattsburgh, NY at 6 Miles

Nearest Motorway: Interstate 89 at 6 Miles

We are located in 'The Islands' of Vermont, just off of U.S. Route 2. Take Interstate 89 to Exit 17 and go east on U.S. Route 2 (toward Grand Isle). Follow for approximately 6 miles, continue over the causeway onto South Hero, continue for another 1.5 miles into the village of South Hero. Cross South Street/Hill Street and go another block, making a right at McGregor's Pharmacy onto Wally's Point Road. Stay to the right on Wally's Point Road and continue to the end. We are the last cabin on the left. It is old and grey and that is why we call her Miss Daisy. You are located on the east shore of Keeler's Bay with lovely westerly views over the bay.

Notes: Our cabin is a single story home located just three stairs from ground level. Good fit for children given single step down to sandy beach. The water is clear and weed-free, with a gradual drop from 0 feet at beach to 3 feet in swimming area off the dock. We DO NOT take pets, NO exceptions made. We have recently put new windows on the front porch and resided the cabin. The photos were taken in the fall when the work was completed. We have also built a 2 story garage/loft area that is a few feet away from the rental cabin. That structure is not part of the rental.

Great Place for Families

We stayed here the week before the 4th of July. The cabin is very clean and neat and has all the basics you'll need for a week with the family. Our young kids (3 and 5) loved playing with the sand, going for paddleboat rides (with mom and dad), swinging in the hammock and playing t-ball. The sunsets ARE beautiful and the neighboring town great (and close). We would highly recommend it!

Simple but perfect and clean

Owner very helpful, cabin simple but clean. Perfect if you have your own kayaks or you can rent nearby. Paddleboat provided was fun. Close to Colchester drive-in movie theatre and Burlington shops and restaurants for dinner. Location perfect for lake activities.

Lots of fun stuff to do!!!! The dock is nice and big, my son caught 42 fish in 1 day!!!! The paddle boat is great, my 8 year old could even use it by himself. Immaculately clean!!! Just beautiful! There is a corner store at the end of the road that has anything you could possible need. The Blue Paddle Restaurant is about 3 minutes away and has the best Sunday brunch!!!! House is chock full of info of places to go and things to do!!!! Felt like home :)

Great Vacation Spot

We are repeat customers of this property. Watching the sun rise or set is beautiful on the lake. We have lots of fun catching fish or going out with the paddleboat. The cabin is very clean and lay out is comfortable. The kitchen is fully equiped. We grill or use the owners information on where to eat out. The owners recomendations for things to do has been helpful. In the morning we take a walk to get our paper. The vacation site is good for couples or families. This is a reasonable way to spend a week.

Beautiful Lake

This property is very comfortable, situated right on the lake. There is a dock for fishing or just lounging in the sun and a beach for the kids to splash in the water. Cabin is clean, neat and provides all the necessary amenities for a delightful stay in a beautiful area. Sunsets are spectacular!
