Located in one of Monterey County's most desirable communities, the Carmel Highlands,the views are breathtaking from inside or from any of your three private balconies. You'll enjoy magnificent sunsets overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Deer, wild turkeys and other animal life are frequently seen grazing the grounds.

This guest house has just been decorated in the Tuscany style with high ceilings, huge windows and the charm of an Italian villa. It's been said there has never been a comfortable sofa bed, but you will beg to differ as you nestle into this huge leather one. Relax in front of the wood burning fireplace, curl up with someone special, read a book, or watch television. The skylight looking up into the giant oak trees in the master bedroom will be difficult to leave. The guest house hot tub is also available - usage rates apply.

My boyfriend and I came to the Carmel Highlands on a fluke and initially stayed at the Highlands Inn for one night. We fell in love with the area and located this little gem on VRBO. Having stayed at many places in many different cities, we could tell from the photos that this place had a nice energy. It is small but feels large because of the high ceilings and spectacular view from the extra long windows. The decor is true to description, and moreover, you feel that the owners really put a lot of love into the process. We ended up staying two weeks and loved every minute of it. Everything is of very nice quality and intelligently laid out and the attached gardens are lovely. The owner is also very nice and easy to work with. She seems honest and caring and that is evident in the upkeep of the property. We had a problem with the wi-fi and she sent over a nice "techie" who had us up and running in no time. Absolutely magical setting here amongst these magnificently tall pine trees and we took daily walks in the neighborhood amongst the mist, quail and stunning ocean views. This place is a keeper.
