Located in the desirable Turtle Beach community, this home is elegantly furnished, adjacent to a lovely community pool and only several hundred feet (5 minute walk) from Kiawah Island's ten miles of ocean beach. The Master suite is spacious with a large bathroom. The other upstairs bedroom has a full bath, a walk-in closet and twin beds. The two downstairs bedrooms share a third full bathroom. The kitchen is open and spectacular, with a restaurant-style 6-burner gas range, modern appliances, an enormous butcher block and service for 12. It opens into the living room, which has two seating areas, one in front of a fireplace, and a dining alcove. The glassed-in porch/family room overlooks one of Kiawah's picturesque lagoons, with lush flora and abundant birds and reptiles. A sliver of ocean is visible across the water. There is a 48' flatscreen TV in the living room, another in each bedroom, 2 VCRs, a DVD player, a stereo and wireless internet access throughout the house.

Kiawah: Kiawah Island is an ideal romantic, family or golf/tennis getaway. There is world-class golf and tennis and a spectacular 10-mile beach for bike riding or walking (the last 3 miles of beach are wild and remote - if you take the hike, you'll be alone out there for hours.) There are numerous nature trails on Kiawah itself and spectacular nature in the surrounding Charleston area. Charleston itself does tourism as well as any city in the world.

42 Muirfield Lane: People have told us that we should emphasize two things about our home - the kitchen and the overall decor. The kitchen really is magnificent and open, encouraging people to hang out and enjoy each other while others are cooking or cleaning. And the furnishings are elegant, comfortable and a bit unusual for a southern home. We are in the furniture business in New York and our home reflects that.

This home is open and bright, with charming decor and comfortable beds, ample space for a large family, and many different gathering spots. It's close to tennis, very close to the beach, and only a few feet from the neighborhood pool. The owners were very easy to deal with. We will go back, no question.

A great vacation home!!

The house is spacious, well maintained, ideal location, and impressive all-around. Alan and Angela do a great job in making you feel welcome! We had a perfect vacation. Alan was a pleasure to work with regarding the rental agreement and details. I highly recommend this vacation home. I we come back next year for the meeting, we'll be staying here!!

An unbelievable location & home!

This home was perfect, it had plenty of room for our big family, the living space & kitchen were huge! We loved the home, the location couldn't have been better, literally right next door to the pool, an easy walk to the beach. The views of the golf course from the porch (on rocking chairs) and the swamp from the sunporch were awesome. We had a lot of fun watching alligators (from inside), as that was a novelty for us on the west coast. We will definitely try and return. The owners were a pleasure to work with, and you could tell this house is a home, not just another rental.
