Be sure to get a massage and ski at Lagunillas G&D Dec, 2006: Our favorite things were hiking the beautiful mountains, eating delicious food and the lovely people. Don’t miss the lunch at Santa Rita Winery or dinner at Le Petite France. We also met a mountain lion named Max at Cascadas!! The hot tub is a pleasure. Home cooked dinners from Nancy and her fresh baked bread in the morning are so wonderful. Such a lovely home, with everything we needed and more! And what comfortable beds. Comments (Cont.): Jan, 2007: I’m nor sure what refugio means in Chilean Spanish. But Puertazul for us is a Refuge… A retreat into a welcoming luxuriant garden, comfortable home, the Now accustomed sound of rushing water, time to read, dine, reflect, doze…We love the fresh morning air, lazy warm afternoons, evening paseos, flowers, We have used every dish, pot, linen and tool in the kitchen. We baked, barbecued, Sauteed, and sauced….And then there is smiling, incomparable Toyita, Nancy’s “best in the world” empanadas and her delicious honey – perfect with the chilled Montes Sauvignon Blanc, the hot tub and the stars. Comments (Cont.): Jan, 2007: Puertazul! What a great place to stay. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the pool, hot tub, views, wounds of the river and wonderful gardens. Nancy is a great cook and very accommodating. Lemon pie – sweet! Quiche de Verduras delivered fresh, hot & early for breakfast. Also, the empanadas were scrumptious as well. We made our way to Banos Colinas and soaked in the salt water hot springs. What a treat, luxuriating whilst taking in the splendor of the Andes. Chile – a fabulous place. H&S, BC, Canada

Ski: Skiers!! We are minutes from Lagunillas Ski Center for those who enjoy beauty, tranquility and quiet atmosphere. It has a skiable area of 200 hectares with 13 runs. It has 3 ski lifts, ski school, rentals and cafeterias. Helicopter skiing is also available to Valle Nevado, Portillo or La Parva. Or for those that want to chill out for a few days after skiing at Valle Nevado or Portillo, we are the perfect place.

Guest Book: Jan,2007: A wonderful retreat in a beautiful setting! I needed time to relax and recover from a cold and could have found no better place. The carefully tended gardens were a delight - and the fresh flowers in the rooms a bonus. We all enjoyed the pools and tubs – and comfortable quarters. Thanks to Nancy for your cooking and Toyita for attending to our needs. M&D, Alberta, Canada Feb, 2007: Well, we are back again and loved it just as much the second time. We did most of our own cooking and enjoyed the local fare. We had a great dinner at Sanctuario del Rio and a great lunch at Santa Rita Winery. If you have an SUV, do take a drive to Banos de Colina – well worth it. LS, New York City March, 2007: The nine of us so enjoyed our week long stay here. Nancy was very helpful our entire stay.
