Description of the Christmas Cove vacation house rental
Built in 1900 by Captain Frank McFarland, this is a classic Maine Ship Builders Mansion. Located in the center of Christmas Cove with commanding views of the Cove, River, John's Bay and Pemaquid Point the estate has 2 acres of lawns and gardens.
The house is amazing, from incredible woodwork to pocket doors that look like fine furniture, the details are all from a time gone by. Four master sized bedrooms with brand new queen beds & one smaller bedroom with 2 twin beds. (Room to sleep 12). With armories, linen curtains and oversize windows, the sleeping quarters are brought to life by pastel colors and classic wallpapers. A newly built master bath that is trimmed in the style of the house features a countertop from a massive slab of wood that was once part of a ship.
Every thing was been rebuilt in 2007. plumbing, electric, interiors, bathrooms, kitchens & bedrooms. New appliances, mattresses, linens, utensils and china.

South Bristol is located in Lincoln County, near the towns of Boothbay Harbor and Wiscasset. This quiet fishing village is along Maine’s central coast, and has beaches and lakes with boating, sailing, sea kayaking, swimming, hiking, golf and sightseeing nearby. South Bristol’s scenic harbor, with its’ swing bridge and lobster boats, and Rutherford Island, is one of the most picturesque and photographed harbors in the state. There is also a marina in South Bristol. You can take a walk, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the village, and meander on to the harbor where you can buy fresh fish and lobster right off the boats! Or enjoy fine restaurants in South Bristol and out and about Lincoln County. Just 10 minutes north of South Bristol is historic Pemaquid Peninsula with its sandy beaches, fort and lighthouse. 12 minutes to Damariscotta with its perfect Main Street. A half-hour’s drive takes you to Boothbay Harbor and its whale watching excursions, windjammers, art galleries.
