|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Our cabin is located on the Yellowstone River at the southern end of Paradise Valley, just 4 miles north of Gardiner and the original entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Whether you are coming to visit the park, sample the blue ribbon trout fishing or to enjoy the numerous year round outdoor activities the area has to offer; this location is ideal for you.
Our cabin comes with all of the amenities you would expect to make your stay comfortable. Your covered outdoor porch overlooks the Yellowstone River with spectacular views of the park and Electric Peak. Each bedroom can accommodate up to 4 people, has it's own full bathroom and satellite TV. When you want to kick back in the evening, enjoy the living room's reclining furniture, satellite TV and Franklin stove. The cook will not be disappointed. The kitchen is equipped with a water filtering and ice making refrigerator, quality appliances and cookware and even a variety of spices. A washer and dryer along with all linens and towels for bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are also provided.
The area abounds with year round outdoor activities. Winter offers the solitude of snowshoeing, back country and cross country skiing both in the park and in the surrounding National Forest. Spring brings a special treat for bicyclists. While the northern road from Gardiner to Cooke City remains open year round, the remainder of the park is limited to bicycle traffic only for a period in the month of April. As winter run off swells the the Yellowstone River, rafting and kayaking take center stage. Summer offers park visits, fishing and all of the other outdoor activities too numerous to list. Fall wraps up the year with smaller crowds in the park, crisp fresh air, hunting and great fishing.
The Yellowstone Association Institue offers year round classes and information is available on their web site.
We had a wonderful trip. The weather was great. We got to see everything we wanted to in Yellowstone. It was so nice having a beautiful place to come back to each night and relax. Thank you for sharing!
We stayed at this lovely cabin for to full weeks in September 2014. We are frequent visitors to Yellowstone and we always stay at the Gardiner entrance to the park. Several times we have been disappointed by properties that we have rented not being what they are represented to be online. That was not the case with this stay. This cabin is simply lovely. It is an end unit with a private (cemented) parking space and lots of privacy. It has two full bedrooms and two full bathrooms plus a kitchen, living room, and private outdoor covered patio. The living room has a television and comfortable furniture for resting after long days in the park. Each bedroom has its own television, and each has two queen size beds. The cabin also has its own laundry area which is a huge plus for a two week stay. The kitchen has everything you need (yes everything) for preparing your own meals, including many items that you rarely see in a rental property such as spices, foil, paper towels, paper napkins. It was such a treat to have such a nicely stocked kitchen. The cabin was very clean as were all of the items in the kitchen and baths. The Yellowstone river is steps from the back door and you can hear it and see it from inside the cabin with views from the kitchen and living area. It's so nice to sit on the private patio and have dinner and watch the river go by. It is very quiet at this property, the sounds of the river is all you will hear. There were guests in the adjacent cabins, however we never heard them at all. The drive two town is a 2 mile drive on a dirt road, but is easily accessed by car. We were lucky enough to see many elk and antelope right at the property and on the road. At night you can hear the elk bugling from the patio. There is a wonderful fire pit on the property (shared by all cabins in the complex) it is right on the edge of the river with lots of seating. The pictures of this cabin on VRBO represent the property nicely, however the cabin and the rooms are actually much larger than they appear in the photos. You can't go wrong with this lovely vacation home, we will be back for sure!
This is the third time we have stayed in the cabin. We keep coming back as it really does feel like a second getaway home that is always there for us. More comfortable, quiet and relaxed than the hotels around Yellowstone park. Cleaner, better furnished and better amenities than the hotels. Full kitchen ready to go to cook all your own food. Local restaurants and YP within minutes from the cabin. Local elk herd that visits some mornings and evenings. We cannot wait till we can come back next year.
This cabin has it all. It is minutes from the entrance of Yellowstone. It has all the little things so that you don't have to bring them such as napkins, lotion, coffee, etc. It is right on the Yellowstone River. Nice and peaceful.
The cabin was fully equipped for our needs. I would recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to YS park. It is family friendly. Please don't forget to read the tips from the owner before arriving, It helped a lot.
We LOVED our stay on the Yellowstone River. Great little cottage VERY NICELY appointed-everything we could possibly need. Beautiful setting and easy drive to Yellowstone and to Gardiner which is a fun little town (K-Bar!!). Many thanks for this wonderful segment of our Western vacation.
Would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the Yellowstone area, and would rent it again myself if I ever return! It was exceptionally neat, and very well stocked both with paper products and kitchen ware (they have more gadgets in their kitchen than I do!). The towels were large and fluffy, and the beds were comfortable. The table, grill, and furniture on the back patio were wonderful to have. Also nice to have dishwasher, washer and dryer. This cabin is on the end, so there's a bit more privacy too. There is a communal firepit 2 cabins down out back.
This comfortable cabin is located on the Yellowstone River just 4 miles north of Gardiner, Montana, and the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Blue ribbon fly fishing is just outside your door as well as many other outdoor activities. Winter offers snowshoeing, back country as well as cross country skiing both in the Park and the surrounding National Forest. Spring offers kayaking and white water rafting. Summer offers fishing, hiking, bicycling, horse back riding and of course visits to Yellowstone National Park. The Park itself is a geographical wonder. View abundant wildlife, spectacular geysers, waterfalls, rivers, canyons, mountains as well as participating in all of the activities found within our first national park.
