Cute Cozy Cottage on St. John

The Cute Cozy Cottage was absolutely wonderful for our first trip to St John. I went with my fiance for a 9 day trip, and it is perfect. Jennifer and Craig thought of everything. The cottage is cute and clean with a grill and kitchen for cooking, two decks to eat on, and a cute shower with views down to the water.

The front deck is perfect for the morning and the pair of yellow birds building a nest (bananaquits?) are delightful breakfast companions. The cottage is about 5 minutes from Cruz Bay and 10 minutes from the start of the north shore beaches (super convenient).

Craig met us at the ferry to show us to the cottage, and Jennifer checked in with us and gave us recommendations for local boat charters. They were gracious hosts who respected our privacy but were always available.

My wife and I stayed at the "Cute Cozy Cottage" and had a great time. It is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I was happy to have the air conditioning, where my wife enjoyed the outdoor shower. The owners were very helpful, picking us up at the ferry dock and were full of information. They appreciated our privacy, but were there if we needed anything. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed our walks, which were at times challenging, but worked up our appetites for a delicious dinner in town. I would and have recommended "CCC" to friends and family. We told two couples that we met in town about it that were disappointed in their rentals in town and they are staying there on their next visit. It is by far the best bang for your buck on island! Enjoy...We did!!

As a skepitcal person, I have tired my best to learn to have no expectations & what will be, will be. During my vacation on St. John & at the Cute Cozy Cottage,I realized that IS possible to stay at a vacation property on a budget & it will literally exceed your unintended expectations. I have visited this gorgeous island of St. John for many years & have experienced a variety of properties & price ranges. This is by far the sweetest & most pleasureable place that I have stayed on St. John, plus you are not breaking the bank. It gives you the real feel of the island, not some sterile contrived enviornment that hotels have. If you stay in town, you have to deal with the noise, congestion and lack of privacy, plus pay more for less.The Cozy Cottage is an excellant choice for having a convenient location, a darling clean comfortable apartment and the charm of a neighborhood outside the town of Cruz Bay. Keep in mind that St. John is a hilly island, so be ready for stretching those muscles and wear good shoes.
We loved the privacy, but community feel of the locationl. The cottage itself is "cozy", but very functional. It is so clean & adorably decorated. It really represents the Carribean with islandy personal touches. Our warm hosts, Jennifer and Craig, even had a welcome surprise for us of treats & a bar set up , which was especially nice after our long trip.The refreshing outdoor shower washed away all the stress of the states & made me feel like a true islander. It was great spot to take walks and to experience the island sounds, smells & gorgeous views.
While air conditioning is a personal perference, it was great to have the option. We were thankful to have it one night, but enjoyed the breeze and rainfall another.
I would absolutely book again & recommend staying at Cute Cozy Cottage.Jennifer is a delight & full of information from being a long term island resident, but she respects your privacy, also.
In addition to being a gorgeous vacation spot with exceptional views & crystal blue waters, St. John is a cullinary experience, as well.My l favorites were "La Tapa's" for incredible tastings & wine choices, "ZoZo's" for excellant unique dinners & sunset views, "Mo-tu's" for cocktails with a charming view of Cruz Bay & the sweetest bartender,Allison.Of course, if you want the real feel of fun casual island living, you have to visit (more than once) the "Lime Inn", a 30+ year St. John institution.Great atmosphere, fun staff & owners & delicious food!
