Celebrating God's definition of marriage 'one man and one women for life' is what we are about.

Located just off the beaten path in near the village of Gap, you'll find this quiet, charming, getaway nestled among mostly Amish farms. This is a beautiful and tastefully decorated escape. It whispers romance, relaxation, and renewal. You can eat on the deck, relax in the hot tub or enjoy the view from the patio. In the elegant stone basement an old fireplace and comfy sofa beckons you. We believe that marriage was created by God and His perfect design is one man and one woman for life. Our desire is to strengthen and bless marriages that honor the wise creators design. Because of this we do not endorse unmarried or divorced and remarried couples using this facility. The romantic bedroom suite features a comfortable king-size bed with a partial canopy. The fully equipped kitchen makes in house meal preparation easy.

Vision Statement: The mission and vision of The Little Stone Cottage is to provide special, quiet ambience for married couples to reflect on Gods goodness to them. Celebrating marriage by pampering and romancing your life mate is what this place does well. Take time to read one of our large selection of books,or many short articles on marriage to each other, reminisce about your earlier days as a couple or just bask in togetherness. Plan and prepare special meals and serve them formal or casual as you are renewed and blessed by Gods special provision for married couples. We believe that marriage was created by God and His perfect design is one man and one woman for life. Our desire to to strengthen and bless marriages that honor the wise creators design. Because of this we do not endorse unmarried or divorced and remarried couples using this facility.

Things most tourists do not see!: We have an interesting community of shops in this area. The Town Clock cheese shop less that two miles from the cottage has a wide variety of very tasty local and imported cheese that you can taste before you buy. The owner Bill Houder is usually in and will glad to assist you in choosing the right cheeses for you. There are stores like Singing Springs Foods and other shops in or near Georgetown are favorites of many and used heavily by local Amish. If you want to see how Amish eat and shop these would be places to visit. These places for the most part do not have websites so you need to explore and find them. We have directions to some of them in our manual. The Georgetown area is near the sight of the famous Amish School shooting and is not part of the normal tourism and Amish lore of this area.

Lancaster is PA's premier Amish country tourist area. We are about 20 minutes from Sight and Sounds Millennium theater and many outlet malls. There are Historic sites many small shops selling quilts, canned goods and other local items and food. Restaurants such as Shady Maple Smorgasbord, Deinners Family restaurant along with many chains make for a good selection of food choices. We have some very unique local shops that are not on most tourist info. They are listed in our cottage manual.

Where can we start? This place was such a blessing to my husband & I. We have been trying to stay here and we were finally able to get away. It was more than we could have imagined.We have recommended it to all the married couples we know. The only problem is everyone else who has stayed here feels the same way so it's always booked. Be sure to book way in advance. We look forward to coming back real soon. Roman, Lucy & Charlene really outdo themselves to make your stay unforgettable ! They have a wonderful ministry, that has blessed so many.

fifteenth anniversary celebration

I booked this trip to surprise my husband for our 15th wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day. Not only was he pleasantly surprised so was I. The place is beautiful and full of special things the owners do before you arrive. It is a relaxing and elegant vacation home. We really enjoyed our stay and feel sure anyone thinking about going will be pleased with all it has to offer!

Wonderful get-away!!

The moment we walked in the door of the Little Stone Cottage we felt welcome and knew we were at a wonderful place where we could get away from the "busyness" of our lives. We were here for a long weekend to celebrate one of our birthdays. Roman and Lucy go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to provide a place where you can concentrate on one another without all the distractions of home. We arrived while a light snow was falling creating a beautiful country scene of pure white on the ground. It was fun to see the neighborhood children enjoying an afternoon of ice skating on the big pond. We were taken back in time to a simpler form of life by watching all of the Amish people drive by with their horse and buggy several times throughout the days we were here. We took advantage of the many amenities that make this a special place for couples. We had brought along some of our food to prepare for our dinners and also enjoyed the food provided by Roman and Lucy for use at the Cottage. We appreciated meeting Roman and Lucy and enjoyed attending worship at their church. We have already recommended the Little Stone Cottage to several other couples and hope that at some point in time we can return. Thank you for providing such a special place!!

An Amazing Weekend

My wife and I have done some very romantic things in our marriage. We've had romance stays at five star hotels, we once took a romantic Christmas eve carriage ride through mid town Manhattan; while visiting France we took a river boat cruise through the beautiful city of Paris, even getting married on a beach in the Virgin Islands was very romantic…..but nothing, and I mean nothing out topped our romantic stay at the Little Stone Cottage.

We arrived to a very clean well decorated place. The mood was immediately set with soft music filling the air in the house, along with rose peddles leading up to the bedroom. A beautiful fireplace setting awaited us downstairs and a ready to use hot tub was situated on a private deck outdoors. No television, no problem. We entertain ourselves by playing games, reading good books on relationships, cuddling on the couch and having good….well let me leave it at that (lol).

My wife and I have very busy schedules; between work, ministry involvements and social activities we have very little time for each other. Our stay at the Little Stone Cottage allowed us to relax, reconnect and rejuvenate our marriage. This place is special, and it has a special place in our hearts. Thank you for making our first wedding anniversary a memorable one.
