Many Many things to do. : The famous Wildlife Refuge is at the end of the island and is a Haven for Bird Watchers, Cyclists, and Families Seeking Unspoiled Beaches for Swimming and Tide Pooling. The City of Newburyport, Full of Old World Architectural Charm, and Modern Stores and Restaurants, is a Five Minute Drive Away. There Are Numerous Summer Happenings in Town, with Outdoor Evening Concerts, Theater, Movies, and Other Fun Events. Most Notable is the Annual Yankee Homecoming Festival Which Runs at the End of July - Beginning of August. Hiking, Biking, Fishing, Wildlife Viewing, Shopping, Restaurants, Cinemas, Sightseeing, Swimming, Boating, Sailing, Surfing, Windsurfing. Outlets in Kittery are 45 minute drive. Buses to Boston available in Newburyport. This island is a great location for families wanting to travel to a pleasant beach area, without all the tourists.
