This beautiful fun packed waterfront Exective Villa boasts one of the best views in Barra from from every angle and is rated #1 on Trip Adviser. It is perfect for 4 to 5 or add another suite for 2 or 4 more people.

It is about an eight minute walk to the beach,restaraunts and shopping, $3 cab ride or a $6 boat ride from the private dock and we also have bikes for your use.

From this georgous spacious private suite you will watch the lights sparkle from the Grand Bay from every

window and wake up to have your morning coffee steps

away from the local fisherman in their boats going by on the seaway.

If you like to cook,the well equipt dynamite kitchen has it all including a indoor/our door bbq,gas stove top and wall oven. The dining room doors open wide onto the deck and a million dollar view. The livingroom has a king sofa bed,perfect for relaxing and gazing at the view. The master suite has a king size bed(or 2 single) and there are shutters that open out to the views.The other bedroom has a queen bed and views of the canal,pool,palapa,water and out door kitchen.The master bathroom is located between both bedrooms and the other full bathroom is located off the kitchen.

Enjoy fresh baked goods delivered each morning to the dock and open the gate to find fresh veggies delivered to your door or catch a boat to town. You can find exceptional high end restaraunts or have tacos in the village or dinner in one of many sidewalk cafe's. Surf the warm water, or a drink on the beach, splash in the pool, shop the weekly market or nap in the hammock. Spend afternoons relaxing in the shade of the palapa and enjoying your favorite beverage from the built-in bar overlooking the canal. How about a pedicure,manicure or massage? We will bring it to your service.. Let us fill your fridge before you arrive(Dec 15/March 30th) so the shopping will be done and you can start your vacation,just tell us what you want and we will have it here for your arrival! Enjoy a traditional Mexican dinner cooked for you by locals along with other guests or take a sunset cruise or snorkeling tour in our private ponga. This vacation paradise is close to all the shops,eateries and beach,no need to rent a car,you can walk to everything.It is all at your finger tips.

It is available for long term stays starting May 1st at $625 a month based on a 5 month term.

We also have another suite available for $550 a month based on a 5 month stay.

About Barbara Durham

The dream of having a place in Mexico started to come true in 2007 when the decision was made build a wonderful vacation home on the water to share with guests as well as family. After vacationing here,we seen a serious lack of vacation accomidations that were well equipt with all the comforts of home so we decided if we are going to do this it has to be perfect. Having a career in the sevice industry helped us to think of every detail so everyone could enjoy and have a perfect vacation on this large waterfront property that is surrounded by green space and privacy.

The lot is one of three situated on the end of the canal,walking distance to the centre but far enough away you do not hear noise or cars. The only sounds you hear are boats and birds!

From your bed to the pool to the palapa, you can sit on the pool bench and continue enjoying the views from every angle.You know you are in paradise when cooking in the fabulous outdoor kitchen and enjoying the view of the famous Grand Bay lights dancing across the water while your steak is sizzling on the bbq.At around 5:00 each day,the the many different kinds of birds start to sing,then before sunset they all travel in flocks to a nearby island where they spend the nights.This is truly spactacular and we can take you to see this spactacular site in our boat from your own private dock.

We stayed at Villa SantaBarbara in January 2013 for 2 weeks and it was absolutely fantastic!! It was exactly as promised and better. Barry and Barb are the best hosts you could ask for - they are so friendly, welcoming, hospitable, patient and helpful. The suites are all as pictured, they are comfy and clean, have all of the amenities of home and as promised are cleaned while you are there. Outdoor kitchen & bbq's, no need to cook indoors - but you can if you like as the kitchens in the Penthouse and Premiere suite are great. The pool is clean, warm and so inviting when you get back from a day away! The Villa is situated just a short walk from town, and a $5 cab from Melaque where you will find the most beautiful beach for walking and swimming if you feel so inclined. You don't even need to leave the Villa as all goods can be delivered - chicken, seafood and even beer!! You must also try the baked goods delivered at the dock in the mornings at 8 - delicious!! We definitely will be returning and recommend Villa SantaBarbara for your visit to Barra de Navidad

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Santa Barbara.We felt very welcome by Barbara and Barry who provided lots of ideas of what to do while visiting the area.
The accommodations were great! Very comfortable, relaxing ,clean, bright and cheerful.
A great place to relax by the pool and a short walk in to town to many great restaurants.
We borrowed their bicycles to see even more of the area.
The canal location is alive with birds and fishermen going by yet quiet and away from the town.
We loved our stay!

Totally delightful! Barry & Barb are the perfect most accommodating hosts! Villa is exactly as described, if not better. Excellent canal front location with an easy walk into town. Safe and the grounds/rooms are well equipped and spotless. A perfect side-trip destination from PV. Highly recommend Villa Santa Barbara if your travel plans take you to Barra. Hope to return again soon.

What a fantastic place!

Our family of 5 stayed the last 2 weeks of Nov. and rented the entire villa. This gave us plenty of personal space and yet we could still meet under the palapa next to the pool and use the outdoor kitchen which is very handy. We only saw Barb and Barry on our last day but during the preceding months Barb was very helpful setting things up via e-mail.The weather was hot ( daytime 30's ) but we managed fine with all the ceiling fans in all the suites.
I could get into all the extra details but would only be repeating all the other reviews. Ginger & Vinny who we also met on our last day have said it all. What should be emphasized is the attention Dora, Raul and their young family give to the guests and the maintenance of the villa. The place is always spotless! Dora's English is much better by far than our Spanish so on some occasions it was great to get information that we might have normally missed. On our arrival Barb arranged for Dora to bring in pollo asado and all the sides and the outdoor fridge was full of cervezas. This gesture was greatly appreciated after leaving Vancouver at 6am. If you run out of something Dora make arrangements.
The villa is basically south facing so you get great sunrises, sun all day and then sunsets behind the Alondra hotel in town.
There are lots of diverse places to eat in town and if you have a car try a new place in Boca de Iguanas called Chantli Mare, fabulous!
So we along with everyone else highly recommend Barb & Barry's Villa. You will be happy with your stay no matter how long it is. Great place and wonderful hosts.

The listing/photos were exactly as described & judging by all the reviews, everyone feels the same! We were celebrating my hubby's 50th birthday & Barb & Barry had decorated the palapa with balloons & streamers-how thoughtful is that, it made my hubby feel so special!! We had such wonderful time at Villa Santa Barbara ..... super clean, first class Villa, the beds were soooo comfy, just like home & the suites are well equipped with everything you will need. Peaceful & quiet location, yet so close to town & excellent beaches, we walked everywhere. Barb & Barry were always available for questions/good restaurants to visit, etc., but were not intrusive at all to our privacy. We felt so exceptionally safe here (all the hype from the media is exaggerated & over the top). The hosts Barb & Barry really go out of there way to make sure you are comfortable, they go above & beyond & make sure you have everything you need, they even went to town to pick us up wine and groceries when we ran out. When we arrived there was food in our fridge & our hosts even made us breakfast!! The air conditioning works great, but we really only needed it a couple of nights, as the tropical breeze at night was perfect. There is a french baker that comes by the Villa on his boat every morning with freshly homemade croissants, breads & goodies. The only negative thing we can say is we wished we had booked for longer, a week was not enough for us. Dora (Raul the caretakers wife) made us all a wonderful Mexican dinner & it was worth every penny!! We hired Raul who took us out to the ocean where we saw turtles & dolphins~was so amazing!! Where can you stay & get all that...we are already planning our stay in 2013 and plan on making this our yearly vacation spot!! Thanks again Barb & Barry for making our stay so comfortable!! And we will be checking out your vacation rental in Gibsons, BC this summer as well. Cheers!!
