The jaw dropping view from all 3 levels of “Halfway to Heaven” is one of the very best in Northeast Georgia. At 3,000' in elevation, you can see the southern terminus of the Blue Ridge as you look out over the Chattahoochee National Forest. Our home is very comfortable, quiet, and secluded, but only minutes from Clayton's many fine restaurants, a very large Ingall's market and a multitude of outdoor activities including rafting, hiking, golf, and much more. The drive up is paved the entire way! We can accommodate up to 8 guests for $800/week. With over 2,000 sq. ft. of living space, you'll have plenty of room for your family to relax!
Our home is non smoking. You must be 25 or older to rent, loud parties please look elsewhere. Pets are accepted only after approval. In general, we allow continent, inside dogs that do not bark excessively. There is a $50 non refundable pet fee.

For the first 10 minutes after our arrival, all we could do was stand on the deck and look in amazement at the view. "Halfway to Heaven" it truly is! What an amazing vista. As for the accommodations - you have thought of everything. It is easy to feel at home here because nothing is missing! We really appreciated all the "amenities". Our stay was short, but we would love to come again - and I will be sure to tell many people about VRBO and "Halfway to Heaven". If only they could see this view! Thanks for everything!

We love Rabun county and the mountains of Northeast Georgia!
Our mountaintop location is quiet and serene, with breathtaking views of the southern end of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's a lot to do here, including hiking, boating, fishing, golfing, shopping for crafts or local produce, or browsing around charming Clayton. We're only 5 minutes from Clayton, but our location on the opposite side of the mountain from town provides you with a view of the Chattahoochee National Forest that is mostly devoid of human presence. There's no better way to top off an adventure filled day than to enjoy a glass of locally grown wine from one of the decks at Halfway to Heaven!
Chattooga river excitement is minutes from our door, along with Tallulah Falls, Black Rock and Moccasin Creek State Parks. There are 5 lakes in Rabun county with boat rentals available. The Foxfire museum is close by and definitely worth a visit. The Bartram trail, Appalachian trail, Chattooga River trail and many other outstanding hiking trails are nearby. Trout fishing, mountain biking, horse riding, golf ... so much to do, so little time!
