Silicon Valley view:
Mystic Mountain Hideaway is located close enough to Silicon Valley for business travellers, but it feels like you are a million miles away. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxed. Fifteen minutes from downtown San Jose, the apartment is located one mile up Mt. Hamilton Road, in a rural area. Deer, turkey, and owls are not unusual.
Garden Railroad:
The owners of Mystic Mountain Hideaway have an extensive garden railroad. The train is G-scale and the scenery is wonderful. There is a large mountain with a double helix to get the trains up to another level. One area features a desert town and another a fishing resort, with a water wheel. A Fairy Train is included in the courtyard area, with a fairy train made by the owners. It's truly magical.
Mystic Mountain also includes a full-sized labyrinth based on the design from the Cathedral of Chartres in France. The labyrinth is used as a meditation tool and overlooks Silicon Valley. Several books about labyrinths are included in the guest house so you can learn about the process if it is new to you. The owners are also developing an organic garden, so depending on the season, you may be able to taste some garden fresh produce.
