This unit occupies half of a custom newly built 4,000sq.ft. duplex 100 feet from the sand. Seascape Cottages are designed with a unique blend of seascape and old craftsman style warmth to enhance the enjoyment of a ocean side vacation or retreat. You can sit in the Coast Watch Room with panoramic ocean views and let your cares go with the waves and enjoy the sunsets on Bandon's spectacular seascapes or you can walk out the back yard gate and put your feet on the sand and take in the ocean air and sounds. The use of local Port Orford cedar for the wainscot and ceilings through out enhance the beauty of this seaside retreat.
We recently had our annual women's gathering at this great house and awesome beach. It was more than we could imagine. We rented both houses, Neptune & Mermaid for 9 ladies out to have a great time. This place was "perfect" in every way. Great rooms, beds, lounging areas, decks, kitchens, location, even weather. It was cloudy & sunny and we loved both. We walked the beach every morning at low tide and it was amazing. Carol was better than great to work with and I've already booked next year. Thank You Bandon, I'll be back.
Seaview is a magnificent home with breathtaking views of coastal Oregon. Substantially built and well maintained, with lovely architectural features such as soaring ceilings, warm wood tones in woodwork, doors and comfortable furniture. Cozy ocean viewing rooms and outdoor decks line the front of the house which is just feet from broad sandy beaches, driftwood piles and roaring waves.
The home is beautifully equipped with stainless steel appliances, sparkling bathrooms and comfortable furniture, thick towels and top-line bedding and décor. We stayed at Seascapes with our family of 14 and daily visitors who came for a family re-union and a 50th wedding anniversary. It was perfect for indoor feasting and outdoor activities on the beach. The kitchens are beautifully appointed with lovely matching dishes, small appliances, cookware and a wide array of spices, oils, and other kitchen basics. Seascape, its hospitable and helpful homeowners, cleaning crew and location far exceeded our expectations and every need.
We picked blackberries along the roadside. It is a nice walk to the Bandon historic district and farmers market where we purchased delicious cheesecakes and quiches.
This was a great house with great views. The rugged Oregon coast is right outside your window and just steps from the house. It surpassed our expectations! The kitchen was well stocked with just about anything you would need to cook a gourmet dinner. The owner was helpful and pleasant to deal with in making our reservation. The quaint town of Bandon by the Sea was just down the road with some great restaurants and shopping. If golf is your thing, Bandon Dunes Golf resort is a short drive, less than 5 minutes, from the house. We are looking forward to our next stay!
We have stayed in many rentals along the Oregon Coast and this home by far was the best. It was spotless when we arrived and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids would play on one side of the house while the adults were on the other. Carol was so easy to work with and answered every question I had. If she didn't know the answer she would do some research and then email me back. The kitchen is well stocked with every pot, pan, dish you would need and all the appliances are top of the line. The view of the ocean is spectacular. We were blessed with 2 beautiful days where we would sit on the deck and enjoy the sun and sound of the ocean. The beach access is so close the kids could go down there any time they wanted to. Thank you so much, Carol, for sharing your beautiful Seascape home with us. We will definitely return again.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The home is beautiful. The art decor is just perfect for this home. The kitchen is fabulous and had anything we could have needed. Coffee in the morning in the enclosed deck with full ocean view is what every vacation should be. We definitely want to return to this paradise right on the beach. We will not forget our time here. Frequent trips to the beach were part of every day.
If you plan to cook on your vacation, Seascape is THE ONLY place to go. The entire home looks like a well-maintained private residence rather than a rental, but when you go into the kitchen you realize you aren't in Kansas anymore. Toto. The appliances are new and top-of-the-line. Some of the best cookware availabe - Cuisinart - fills the cabinets. I always cook when I travel as I'm Italian and genetically predisposed. Usually I find horrific, banged up cookware that likely came from a garage sale, dull knives and a lack of proper utensils. I was delighted to find a rental as well equipped as my cooking-nerd home kitchen! As a result, my lasagna dinner for 11 hungry, tired golfers was a smash hit.
When traveling, you hate to have to buy a bunch of spices to cook a meal and then bring them home to clutter up your kitchen cabinets. Seascape is very well-stocked with fresh spices. I found everything I needed for my meals in the spice cabinet, including Kosher salt. I mean, who has Kosher salt?
There is a fabulous grocery store minutes from Seascape in Bandon that stocks anything you could need to cook a gourmet meal. The fresh meat and fish sections are mindblowing. The only thing that stumped them was my request for zebra steaks. I didn't really want them I was just, you know, making a point.
We had a large group and this place is fabulous for hanging out together. There is a large sitting area, what us midwesterners call a "family room," with a big screen TV and incredibly comfortable easy chairs. After golf, it was great to sit down with a beer in one of those chairs, turn on the Golf Channel and watch how the game is supposed to be played. There is also a large deck to sit, listen to the surf and ponder the joys of life - like Seascape.
Finally, the sleeping. My downstairs room faced the ocean and I drifted off each night to fresh air and the sound of surf through my open window. Sublime.
Five stars. If there were more to give I'd give them.
Seascape Cottages is located on Bandon’s South Jetty where the Coquille River meets the Pacific Ocean. A 1 mile walking path along the Coquille River takes you to Historic Old Town and Marina. Along the walk you can take in the view of Bandon By The Sea’s icon, “The Coquille River Light House” or observe a boat navigating the Jetty Channel to open seas or a boat returning through the Jetty Channel to safe harbor. You can enjoy the charm of Old Town and the Marina dockside in addition to many fine shops plus dine at award winning restaurants.
A 10 minute drive from Seascape takes you to world class golf at Bandon Dunes.
Bandon is located on Highway 101 along Oregon’s South Coastline which offers some of the Pacific Ocean’s most pristine beaches.
