Wisteria Hollow is in Lakebay, WA. This is a beautiful, peaceful rural community about 20 minutes from historic Gig Harbor and 30 minutes from the ferries in Bremerton. The trip to downtown is gorgeous or the ferry to Victoria, BC leaves from Port Angeles. It is an hour drive to downtown Seattle with all its shopping, theater, symphonies, restaurants, waterfront and tourist sites. We love Pioneer Square and the Underground tour, the Locks Cruise and the Seattle Dinner Train. The wonderful Scandinavian town of Poulsbo and the great city of Tacoma are also close. Tacoma also offers symphonies, the Chihuly Glass museum, The Art Museum and Pt. Defiance Park and historic fort. Mount Rainer, & Olympic National Park are close. The scenic byways and pristine forests of the Key Peninsula offer wonderful biking and walking as well as gorgeous drives. Retreat to the peace of the water after a fantastic day in the city, or soak in the hot tub after an active day outdoors.

  • The master bath has 2 shower heads and a great shower. Bathroom 2 is a wonderful antique tub on legs, with brass fixtures and shower head. Bathroom 3 is on the main floor of the main house.

  • The first four rooms are in the main house along with a double sofa sleeper in the living room. The Master bedroom has a private deck with a gorgeous view of the bay, bedroom 2 has a wonderful view of the grounds. Bedroom 3 and the loft are also great sleeping accommodations. The main house sleeps 12 in beds. The 2 adjoining homes sleep 6 each.

A good vacation spot with a few details needing work. The large grounds are a nice bonus, great for large family or other gatherings. My family stayed for a week, and overall the home was fine, but a few details were irksome. We used all three homes, the main house, the cottage and the apartment, so that amounted to 20 people. The grounds were great, but for some stupid reason the sprinklers were set to go off every night at 5:00 pm AND in the middle of the night. That made relaxing on the grounds or playing croquet or volleyball a bit of a risky venture.
Also, with 20 people to feed, we found the kitchen of the big house big enough to cook in, but the details were lacking. We had one small baking dish and too few plates and bowls. We had to borrow heavily from houses down the street just to cook and eat a meal. This was a pain. One would think that a house that could sleep 12 would come with enough equipment to feed the occupants. Finally, one of the main house 'bedrooms' does not actually close off, so the occupants must listend to the living room conversation until late at night, like it or not. This is not stated or shown in the pictures, so was a bit misleading.
Owner's Response: The main home, Wisteria Hollow does sleep 12 people in beds. It does have dinner plates, salad plates, glasses, mugs, cereal bowls and all silverware for 18 -20 people--in just that home. The other 3 homes-one across a small country lane, and the Cottage-right next door--have additional dinnerware. The third bedroom does have a small, window size opening over the top of the stairway, that does not close off.
