Outdoor activities: The Yampa River is only about 1/2 mile away and is a haven for fly fishing, kayaking and tubing. A paved bike path starts just two blocks away from the townhouse and follows the Yampa River all the way into downtown Steamboat. A wonderful way to explore the town, and see the sites during the warmer months. Our 12 year old and her friends often ride the bike path to the hot springs pool in downtown Steamboat. The city's free shuttle bus stops a few yards away from the Townhouse and takes you to the base of the ski mountain and back again at the end of the day. Other nearby fun activities include skiing, hiking, horse back riding, Cross Country skiing, alpine slide, ice skating, sledding, and much more.

Great ski getaway

The townhouse was great, being right on the bus route was excellent and made getting to the ski resort so easy! We had a car but only used it for going into town. Parking was great right at the front door. Tons of snow the week we were there! Steamboat has alot to offer and was a great place to spend a week vacation.
The beds upstairs are fullsize, not queen size, which was fine for my family but should be noted for travelers.
