A fantastic vacation spot

Before renting this vacation house, I'd never heard of Mi Wuk Village. It is definitely a great place to visit! Our family stayed for 10 days and never ran out of activities to do and see. As a matter of fact, we didn't get to do some things we wanted to do because we ran out of time!
In addition to all the great activities to do near by, the house is wonderful. To start with, it's in an incredibly quiet neighborhood, right next to the national forest. You can walk right out of the yard into the forest, all the way down to the Tuolumne River, following a map hand drawn by a previous house guest. The house is very comfortable and really felt like home. The house was clean, all the appliances worked flawlessly, including a washer and dryer, and Jon's instructions for the satellite system, wireless internet and everything else were right on.
To give you an idea of all there is to do in the area, while we stayed there we hiked around Pinecrest Lake, rented kayaks, saw Moaning Caverns and California Caverns, visited the train museum in Jamestown, the historic town of Columbia, the ghost town of Bodie and the New Melones Reservoir, fished at Lyons Reservoir and Beardsley Lake, took in the sights along Sonora Pass, and even checked out Upper Natural Bridge, a local creek the flows through a cave that you can swim or raft through! We never even made it to Yosemite or some of the hot springs we had planned on seeing! Information for almost all of these places is generously available in the house, from Jon and past guests.
To sum it up it was a great vacation at a great place. In the end, our kids ages 8 and 9, didn't want to go home. Frankly, neither did my wife or I. We'll definitely plan another visit!
