Worth a second visit.

My family is scattered all over. We have family living in Boston, New York, New Jersey, Washington and Montreal Canada. We all haven't been together in three years. When our Boston resident invited us all to attend his wedding on the beach in Scituate, we all agreed we wanted to try to stay in the same place so that we had an oppurtunity to spend more time with each other. Renting houses instead of hotel rooms (travelers totalled 15) was what we wanted. The owners of this house were wonderful and I felt very much "at home" when emailing and speaking with them to soldify our arrangements. The pictures of the house are nice but don't really do it justice. Like I told the owner, I'm a little jealous of them for having such a great house to escape to. My only regret is that we didn't rent the house for a longer period of time. Hopefully we can revisit it next summer. The house was clean and all the ammenities listed were as promised. The lay out of the house was perfect for us since the second floor bedrooms and bathroom afforded some privacy to my neice, her husband and children which includes two little boys under the age of 5 and a four month old infant. The house is kid friendly and we had lots of laughs on the deck and a great time introducing the boys to the Atlantic Ocean and all it's glory as well as the River and boats moored across the street. This sparked a new interest for them, rock and shell collecting. There isn't a lot of "touristy" places very close by but any drive through the surrounding areas was a visual treat looking at the homes and quaint shops. After a day out it was a pleasure to come back to the house and be lulled asleep listening to the sound of waves breaking on the shore. In the morning a hot cup of coffee or tea enjoyed on the deck set the tone for what was a wonderful day. Since our visit occurred the first week of fall, we wondered what it would be like to visit there in the middle of summer. I like to see and experience as many different places as possible but this, well this is worth a second visit. There is a great place not far from the house where we had a delicious breakfast. Since we were there for a family wedding we didn't get a chance to sample much more from local restuarants as the bride and groom had scheduled lots of events for their guests in Egypt Beach. If possible I fully intend to revisit if nothing more than to just hear the waves and relax from my hetic life.
