HIPPIE BOB'S BEACH HOUSE: ON THE BEACH! CHANKANAAB AREA

This was our first trip to Cozumel and we will return! The condo was everything you would need for a relaxing stay on the beach with easy access to the pool and the beach - both are right our your front door. We brought our own snorkel gear and I would recommend that to anyone staying here. The shore snorkeling from the beach is s good as any on the island. From our location there were a couple of restaurants but the drive to town was easy as well. We found the entire islnd to be very accessible.

Details:
The unit: Small living area and kitchen but enough for our five people (2 teens and 3 adults) to sit and eat comfortably. We used the kitchen for breakfast and lunch most days and cooked dinner twice. Everything we needed was there for us. Most of the time we were outside however. Being on the ground level provided easy access to all the spaces outside. Three bedrooms had nice space and comfortable beds. Lots of beach towels provided. Maid service was standard once mid stay and they did a nice job.

The complex: We liked that this was a smaller complex ( approximately 13 units?). The pool and beach areas were never crowded - chairs were always available - and we had great conversations with people around the pool. It felt like "home". The pool and beach area were clean and maintained daily. The beach was beautiful. There is sand and beach chairs for easy relaxation and sunbathing or sandcastle buildin if that's what is important to you. As you enter the water you navigate a little coral so water shoes wuld be recommended if you aren't wearing flippers. as I stated above, the snorkeling was also great. We snorkeled over to the edge of Chankanaab and saw the Dolphins in their pen.

Favorites from the week:
Punta Sur park - It was fun to see the crocodiles and climb the lighthouse. $6 admission to go this far and $6 more for each adult to go on to the beach. Beautiful beach but the snorkeling was better/easier at the condo. Get there on the early end so you beat the cruise traffic.

Rasta's restaurant - right next to park entrance, tables on the beach, a great place to view to beautiful waters at the end of the island while having lunch.

Playa Azul - A "beach club/hotel" north of town. For the cost of drinks you can hang out here for the day, swim and snorkel. North of town.The snorkeling was equal to condo.

Kintas Restaurant - YUM! Beatiful garden atmosphere and GREAT food!

We loved the Condo! Awesome views, great snorkling. PERFECT for a family vacation, close to town but far enough away from the tourista - HA! Rented a car for the whole week which allowed us to explore the entire island. Highly recommend Luis Canal next door for scuba/dives. Had a wonderful time and look forward to staying there again. Thank you for allowing us to stay at PARADISE.

Our family of six had lots of room to spread out! The beds are wonderful. Our kids basically lived in the pool and I went snorkelling at LEAST once a day (brought my own gear)! Lots of fish and critters to see, right off the beach. We walked to Chankanaab for a wonderful day, there. We rented a car so we could tour the island - another great day trip! The rest of the week was pool, beach and ocean! Having a great view of the pool, right from in the condo, while I made lunch, meant the kids could keep right on swimming! If we didn't feel like cooking, Uva's next door had great lunch. Our friends were in the upper unit so we had the whole building to ourselves! If you're looking for a condo to rent in Cozumel, you can't find a better place! And Hippie Bob and Diana were so friendly, too. We were lucky to be there at the same time! I would definitely recommend this place!
