The bright, newly painted interiors and quiet, but spacious setting are sure to please. Located in Bar Harbor about 8 minutes from Bar Harbor's busy village and 6 minutes to the Park Visitor Center and Park Loop Road, Folkestone Cottage is just one-half mile from the quieter village of Town Hill where you'll find a few restaurants, a charming country store with ice cream window and a brand new playground and ball field. Open floor plan with Living Room, Dining Area for six, Kitchen with island seating. Back deck with furnishings and gas grill overlooks a large lawn with picnic table. Half Bath with laundry. First floor Master with queen offers private Bath with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Second floor Bedrooms with queen and twins share Bath with combined tub/shower. What a wonderful place for holidays and family. We come from Europe with two little kids and we were more than enjoyed regarding this cottage...! Confortable, charming, clean, calm, convenient...Everything is in there. Wonderful souvenirs and maybe a come back next year...

Charming Home set on Acres of Trees

This property is a winner. The owners fixed it up with charming touches yet not too fancy where you don't feel comfortable. It could be a sample home, and everything you need is there; cleaning supplies, dishes, silverware, barbecue. The owners are easily available if any problem occurs.
If you forgot anything from home, there's a local market (very organic) about 2 miles away.
The location was ideal and easy to get to all the magnificent on MDI. The entrance to Arcadia Park is minutes away -- while in the Park, don't miss eating at Jordan Pond.
Don't hesitate to rent this propety. Only drawback for us was it's so far from where we live in Pennsylvania, or we'd rent it again and again.
