Summer brings live theater at Shakespeare and Company, Berkshire Theatre Festival, as well as countless smaller companies, Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, music and art galleries, hiking, and a vast array of summer day camps and sleepover, Tanglewood, located just 20 mins. away in Lenox, is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This property is located about 2 miles from a Golf Country club, open to the public Winter brings skiing and tubing at Butternut - just five mins. away, and at Ski Catamount, which is just 12 mins. away. There is skiing and cross country skiing at Lake Mansfield - which is also a glorious swim pond, playground and picnic area in summer months - just 5 mins. away.
