The rental is located in the Kapoho Beach Lots gated community on the eastern point of the Big Island of Hawai'i. Kapoho is known for its clear skies and sunny weather. The house is a two minute walk from Champagne Ponds, a geothermally heated pool frequented by green sea turtles and colorful tropical fish that is perfect for snorkeling and relaxing. World-class snorkeling is also available at the nearby Wai'opae Tidepools, a designated Marine Life Conservation District full of fantastic coral, fish, turtles, shells, and a resident spotted eagle ray. A spectacular view of the ocean and all of Kapoho can be had from the summit of Green Mountain, a short hike suitable for beginners with a volcanic lake along the way. Quaint Pahoa town is a short twenty minute drive from Kapoho, while the city of Hilo is about 45 minutes away.
