If stormy seas have you looking for a wonderful vacation, pilot your ship to “Port O Call” on the Isle of Palms. Once you are here, you will discover it is very hard to pull up anchor after visiting “Port O Call”. This is an outstanding one bedroom condominium located oceanfront. One of the many outstanding features includes the views that can be captured from the large screen porch or the roof top crow’s nest. From stormy seas to beautiful sunshine, you are in a perfect perch to watch Mother Nature at her full glory in this beautiful setting.
When it is time to hit the beach, there are very few locations more desirable, where once you exit the elevator you are steps away from the beach. If a dip in the pool is preferred, “Port O Call” features a fantastic swimming complex that is less than 50 yards away. Another great feature of “Port O Call” is that the master bedroom, foyer and living room all have oceanfront views. Matter of fact, almost every room has some views of the sea. The living room is very cozy, and features a flat screen television, dvd player, custom tile flooring and seagrass rug. A leather chair and ottoman is perfectly positioned to catch the game and surf without moving. The kitchen and master bath have recently been renovated, and features new appliances, hard surfaces and wonderful tile work. When night arrives, and you have watched the moon rise over the ocean, you will have pleasant dreams of calm seas on the new luxurious mattress that is featured in many five star accommodations.
You will find everything you need when calling at “Port O Call” for an outstanding vacation.

Nice condo with spectacular ocean view and very close to beach
We had a fabulous stay and enjoyed the ocean front accommodations from sun up to sun down!! We are already planning our return visit!
Complex looks to be old and run down with peeling paint, rotting windows, missing shingles, front screen doors that barely closed, and a dirty elevator. Pictures reflect recent updates with tile floor, new interior paint, and newer appliances. The tub/shower had a new tile surround, but the caulk around the tub was molded and the tub in dire need of re-glazing. Perhaps the mold was due to the fact the fan didn't work. The tub was also very small. The screened porch and upper level widow's walk provided beautiful views, but looked very weathered. The interior carpet leading to the widow's walk was stained and a musty odor from the attic permeated the upper level. The kitchen was cramped but functional, though the cabinets also had quite a musty smell. Bedroom was fine except for only having airy curtains that made it impossible to darken the room. (Not good when traveling with a toddler in need of naps!) Unit was average clean, though we did wake up to a dead cockroach on two occasions.
Booked thru a rental agency and had no problems.
Charleston is about 30 mins away in traffic and Mt. Pleasant is only about 15. Love the Charleston area and probably will be back. Just not sure we'll stay in Wild Dunes again as it was a bit of a drive to anything. Pretty sure if we do, it won't be at Port O'Call...
My husband and I stayed here for a week in September. The size of the condo was perfect for the two of us. We more than thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the screened-in porch, listening to the sounds of the ocean waves, that is probably the condo's best feature. The upstairs deck is also really, really neat. You are literally right there, on the water. This made our vacation VERY relaxing and enjoyable.
The condo's furnishings are fairly dated as other reviewers have mentioned, but in decent shape. I will say this, though, the bed's mattress is very uncomfortable, at least we thought so. It is old and probably needs to be replaced. As another reviewer said, there is some padding that has been placed on there to try to alleviate that, but it doesn't really help too much. We are pretty young and can just about sleep anywhere, we aren't picky, but... a new mattress would really help. We found sleeping on the couch (not the pullout bed, the couch) to be more comfortable.
Only issues we had with our stay were that the tub would fill up when using the shower, toaster didn't work properly (smoke started coming out every time I used it), washer/dryer didn't completely work right, one of the sliding doors got caught a lot when trying to close it.. so some minor things that didn't ruin our time there, but it would have been nice if they hadn't happened. Checkout is also 10AM, which stinks, would be nice to have an extra hour or so.
Oh and make sure to bring an extra roll of toilet paper or two, there was half a roll on the rack in the restroom when we arrived, and one full new roll under the sink, but we ran out the day before leaving.
Overall we'd definitely come back IF the condo rental company that owns this unit replaces the mattress :)
Thought we had rented from the actual owners on VRBO but the condo turns out to be owned by a rental company!
Great beach views from screen-in porch in need of repair and the bed has a foarm pad 3 inchs thick to hide the use of an old uncomfortable mattress. The property overall is a good 15 years old, but the rental company looks like they have tried to keep updated.
My husband and I spent Thursday - Saturday at this "villa" just before Easter. From the moment we hit the door, I felt at home. The reality was even better than the pictures online.
Tastefully appointed and the perfect size for two people. With the comfortable bed and sounds and smell of the surf, we cancelled some of our plans just to relax.
Beachside Vacations provided excellent customer service, and the location of Wild Dunes provides enough activity that you would never have to leave the resort.
I have only two criticisms. The televisions are very small, as is the kitchen. It's a one-person kitchen, which is fine if you're planning to eat out for most of your stay.
We are definitely coming back to this condo. We loved it. Five stars!
