This 'Mid Century Modern' Classic Palm Springs Alexander home, with newer private Swimming Pool and large private Hot Tub, offers every amenity one could want for a terrific Palm Springs getaway any season of the year. New Air Conditioning System installed August 2012.

Conveniently located on a quiet street near downtown Palm Springs, just minutes from casinos, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.

Recently beautifully restored, upgraded, and newly furnished, the home was designed by celebrated Southern California architects Kriesel and Palmer.

This naturally lit and airy ‘Butterfly' profile home with high ceilings is beautifully furnished in a comfortable yet classic style in keeping with its mid-century feel, but with today's lifestyle in mind. Doors open from the kitchen/great room directly to a partially covered outdoor entertainment area-- the perfect place for outdoor meals or just relaxing and taking in the panoramic mountain views.

Private Swimming Pool, Large Hot Tub, New Air Conditioning System (new August 2012), 42' TV, DVD: Adjacent to the patio area is a newer private large Swimming Pool. Also in the private backyard under its own cabana is the large Hot Tub, convenient from the master bedroom suite. The spacious backyard is surrounded by an aesthetically pleasing tall privacy wall and has a lawn and beautifully planted desert scape gardens for a resort like feel. South facing exposure enables full east to west sunshine at the pool throughout the day, as well as spectacular views of the San Jacinto mountains. You'll enjoy sunbathing poolside while you gaze in awe at the mountains sometimes covered in snow, just so you'll remember how lucky you are!

The Palm Springs Area: Palm Springs is truly a world class vacation destination...The variety of shopping is unbelievable, a huge new casino, a variety of nightlife, the famous Aerial Tram to the mountaintops (enjoy any number of spectacular wilderness hikes) and many nearby state and national parks! World class golf courses, tennis courts, hiking, biking, water theme park, Imax theatres, museums, etc. are all nearby.

Oh, and lest we forget... the great winter weather is the best in the West! The fun never stops, unless you want to relax, and then, well, we've refined that to an art form here!

Palm Springs has really come alive! The decadent shopping is unbelievable, a huge new casino, the famous Aerial Tram to the mountaintops, and many nearby state and national parks make this a terrific vacation spot. World class golf courses, tennis courts, hiking, biking, water park, Imax theatres, etc. all nearby. Yet you can be as peaceful and lazy as you like! And of course the great winter weather is the best in the West!

Golf: There are over 100 golf courses within 20 minutes drive, many within 10 minutes drive.

This was our 3rd time at Alexander Classic Palm Springs Pool House. We love it! We have been in the winter, spring, and summertime, and have always thoroughly enjoyed our stays.

The location is great, close to downtown yet quiet. The sun "sets" about an hour early in Palm Springs if you're anywhere near downtown due to the mountains to the west (areas to the east may have a little later sunset but they're less desirable areas and too far from downtown for us).

The backyard is really nice...new, always clean pool is very private and has lots of sun all day with nice mountain views. I would say the spa is large, very private and relaxing. Both pool & spa have always been well maintained for us, and the new patios sharp looking too. Feels like your own private resort!

The furniture is mostly new or near new and very comfortable. The ice & water dispenser always worked fine for us, and we appreciate the extra bags of fesh ice in the freezer that Terry provided, very thoughtful. A lot of care is evident in the restoration of this lovely mid century butterfly home. The high ceilings, clerstory windows, and crisp decor make it airy, cheery, very inviting and comfortable.

We always spend a lot of time at the pool, and love going to the nearby Spa Casino for entertainment and great priced dining. We love walking on Palm Canyon Drive and the people are very friendly and the shopping goes on for miles. We also like bike riding around the neighborhood, very pleasant. The mountain tram is a lot of fun and we like hiking up there in the summertime. The golf courses nearby are well run and affordable, and the water park is great to cool off in the summertime.

Kudos to Terry for running a nice, reliable, well equipped rental that has made our stays in Palm Springs so comfortable and enjoyable! We have always felt it is a great value and we'll definitely be back. Cheers!

A perfect Palm Springs family getaway

My husband, our 3 adult children, two teenage grandsons and a girlfriend all fit nicely in this gorgeous home for our Thanksgiving vacation. Every amenity was available - even spices, laundry detergent & hair dryers. We made excellent use of the large pool and hot tub. The extra fee to heat the pool was well worth it. The back yard was beautiful and had a great view of the mountains. The location is in a nice residential area with friendly neighbors. It is convenient to downtown and we enjoyed our few meals out at Tyler's and The Fish Market. For the most part, the house was so comfortable that we hardly felt the need to leave! When the time came for the twenty-somethings to go, they even procrastinated... not usual for that group. :) I would return to this vacation house anytime!

Fun Palm Springs Pool House

My family and I stayed for a week June 17, 2011. We arrived to find a lovelier home than we expected. The home is on a nice quiet street halfway between several grocery stores on Sunrise Way (1/2 mile away) and the action on Palm Canyon Drive (1/2 mile the other way). The pool and very private backyard were beautiful. We loved watching the birds in the morning and the lovely vistas of the mountains and sunsets. The home is well maintained and nicely set up with lots of comfortable seating in the living room and all the comforts of home. The booking process was smooth and efficient and there were no issues with the house unlike other homes we've rented (dirty, noisy, less than ideal service, etc!). We've already recommended the place to friends and relatives. We got to see a lot of the area including Joshua Tree National Park, Anza Borrega State Park, Idyllwild, The Living Desert, Palm Springs Art Museum, and toured celebrity homes. No problem filling a week with fun things to do! Matchbox, Johanne's, Cheeky's and Copley's were terrific restaurants. And loved going to Koffi for morning treats. We'll be back to stay at this great home again this winter. Thanks for a great week, it went by too fast!

Very Nice Getaway!

The house is better than in the pictures! Bright, open design and the pool access off dining and living room made for easy converstation and lots of fun for our group of 7 from New York. We were seeking a fun, relaxing place and we got it! The new stainless appliances in the kitchen and large screen TV in living room are very nice also. Backyard and pool are totally private with lovely landscaping and have great mountain views-- great space to hang out. The property was clean and obviously well maintained. Quiet, convenient location near grocery shopping and downtown. No problems and all our questions were answered promptly. Lots of help with area activities tho we spent most of our time at the pool. A trip to Knott's water park and the Tram were great ways to cool off! And we had a lot of fun at the night clubs on Palm Canyon and the Spa Casino. We go to Palm Springs at least once a year and we're planning another trip for November. Will definitely recommend to friends and family as well. Thanks again for making such a nice place available to us.

Great Time in Palm Springs

The listing is just as described: 4 good size bedrooms, lots of windows and vaulted ceilings, nice decor, new stainless appliances in kitchen, terrific back yard with private pool, large spa, mountain views. Clean and well maintained, prompt help with questions. Would definitely recommend. Loved being able to hike in the mountains with the nearby Tram. Walking and bicycling around town is easy and fun. Knott's water park and the Imax were good for cooling off. Will be back in the fall. Thanks so much for making it available for us.

Many guests are content to while away the hours by the private pool in our lovely enclosed back yard but it sounds like you got a lot of activities in. The Palm Springs Aerial Tram takes you direcely to an alpine mountaintop restaurant with panormaic views and hiking trailheads for the adventuresome. You can hike down from there (or dirve) to Idylwild for interesting arts, crafts, and nice dining options. Our property is not far from downtown and walking or biking is definitely a fun way to get around. Nearby Koffi is a great place ot relax, take in the gardens, and art, and people watch-- you may meet some interesting folks too. Knott's can't be beat for cool fun and the huge Imax theatre has great 3D shows. Thanks for your stay and for leaving the place so nice and neat. It was a joy to have you and we look forward to your next stay.
