BEND - IDYLLIC COTTAGE - TWELVE FEET TO RIVER, DOWNTOWN

Bend Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cottage, Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

River Willow Cottage is an idyllic cottage situated only 12 feet from the Deschutes river located on the Westside of Bend, Oregon, 2 blocks from Drake Park and 4 blocks from downtown Bend.

Minutes to The Old Mill District and Century Drive the road to Mt. Bachelor. Designed in the Craftsman Style with special attention to detail, French doors open up to a lush outdoor patio with river access.

The cottage is a one-room 'Master Suite'. The interior offers a romantic atmosphere with a French Country Queen Bed, charming Victorian, gas fireplace and twin chandelier light fixtures which hang from an open beam cathedral ceiling. The built-in cabinets conceal a wet bar with small refrigerator, a few cold Deschutes Brewery beers, healthy snacks, and a microwave. An MP3 player is available on demand. The Cottage does NOT have a full kitchen. A private dinning area, outside on the patio , just a few feet next to the river, comes equipped with a gas grill and a separate gas burner for cooking. There is a table and chair set along with a few umbrellas to shade you from the sun.

Also provided is a clothes closet to hang your clothes along with 2 deep drawers. A 14' LCD TV with DVD/movie library and basic cable service. The Bathroom's attributes: Country Sink, Extra-large shower stall (2 seats) and a hand held sunflower shower head with plenty of water pressure. The cozy seating area consists of a Victorian style enamel gas fireplace, a LaZ Boy swivel recliner chair and a Double LaZ Boy Comfort Sofa Bed. Nature greets you as the swans, osprey, otters, geese and ducks swim by the patio.

Guests have told me the Cottage has a European feel to it..... leaving you well rested and relaxed.

Hi, I am Marybeth. I own River Willow Cottage. Living on the river in the downtown area is most enjoyable. It's so much fun to share this special place. I personally take care of every amenity to provide the best vacation home for my guests.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2000

I love this neighborhood and wanted to live on the river close to downtown.

Instant river access to floating, kayaking, Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, swimming and fishing is right here at the cottage.

You can walk along the river trail to the Old Mill District and the Les Schwab Ampitheater to enjoy dinner and a concert .. just 12 minutes away. From the cottage, you can walk through beautiful Drake Park to downtown in just 10 minutes.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN BEND OREGON

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I definitely enjoyed our week long stay here in the cottage by the river. Everything is perfectly described and more. Nice and cozy for two people and very relaxing with the river right outside your door. You can use the gas grill and enjoy an evening on the deck just outside your cottage right next to the river. Plates, bowls, glassware, forks, salt/pepper etc are already there. Small refrigerator for grill leftovers or from the great breweries and restaurants. Only went to 4 breweries (there are 14!) and did the beer flights. Although all were a great experience I thought that Crux Brewery (great sunset views from the parking lot) had excellent beer and complimentary food. I loved the Doublecross dark Belgian-style ale and their Beet/Spinach salad. Naked Wines in the Mill District is also a place to visit (have their flights and cheese/olive dish) after seeing the nice shops in the area. Level 2 had good happy hour and music on Thursdays. Greg's Grill also in the Mill District was a nice highlight. Reserve a window table for sunset views and a great meal. We enjoyed the roundabout tour with a brochure explaining the art and a good way to learn how to get around the town. There is also an art gallery tour brochure and some really nice work from local artists. After a long day of touring the town or hiking/rock climbing (we just enjoyed the beautiful view and watched the many rock climbers) in Smith State Park the cottage on the river is the place to come home to relax before going out to eat. Other places we enjoyed: Victorian Cafe (good Bloody Mary's for breakfast), Chows, Kababas, Alpenglow, Sweet Saigon or Pho Viet Cafe for great seafood pho. Although all were a little pricey compared to where we live the quality of food made it worthwhile. We never found a place we did not like. Yes we had a great time in Bend and our stay here at Marybeth's cottage made our visit even better. When we come back to Bend we plan to stay at the cottage for sure!

BEST GETAWAY SPOT

  • 5 of 5
I wanted to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday with a long weekend in Bend, and I came across this property and thought 12 feet from the river, I'm there! When we arrived the fridge had cold beers and snacks, so we went out on the patio to relax and enjoy the view and WHAT A VIEW it is! We fished off the patio and caught a couple rainbow trout. The cottage is cozy and well organized. We were able to walk in to town and enjoy the park that a block or two away. The shower is AMAZING with plenty of water pressure and room! I have no complaints about this property. The owner has thought of everything, all you need to bring is your clothes, the rest is already there! She even provided local, delicious coffee! We look forward to returning to this paradise in the near future!

SO RELAXING

My husband and I spent 3 relaxing nights here. Recommend to others who want an intimate place with beautiful location. Much better than a hotel or motel. Small but workable. Will definitely return if available.

PERFECT LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here with our young daughter over Spring break, and very much enjoyed our stay. The location is terrific for walking down to 10 Barrel for dinner, or relaxing to hang out on the riverside patio after a day up at the mountain. Our daughter loved observing the ducks on the river. Marybeth was very kind and welcoming, and she also gave us a great tip on the breakfast spot in town! We'll be back in the warm weather.

CHARMING AND COZY

  • 5 of 5
We spent the weekend in this adorable cottage and wanted to stay longer. The river is within steps of the back deck which makes for a great view! The cottage was stocked with everything we needed for a weekend getaway. The furnishings are so well done and so comfortable. We can't wait to visit again!

IDYLLIC COTTAGE IN BEND

  • 5 of 5
This was an idyllic setting to spend 5 days in Bend. Perfectly located for walking to Drake Park and downtown. At the same time, it was hard to leave our little patio right on the Deschutes river where we had wine every evening while watching everyone float by on a warm summer evening. Marybeth has thought of everything you might need, which is organized and available in the cottage. This was a great place to stay in Bend. We look forward to going back.
