Wellfleet and environs:
Wellfleet has a very exciting bay with 9 foot tides. When the tide is low one can explore the ecosystems which include oyster and clam farming. It is a marine paradise. When the tide is low the surf is perfect on the ocean side 3 miles away. When the tide is high the swimming is wonderful and one can kayak, or fish or boat. Nearby between the bay and the ocean are numerous fresh water kettle ponds with sandy bottoms and one can see down 20 feet, absolutely clear. Wellfleet is near Provincetown where one can go whale watching, visit lighthouses. There are fishing charters everywhere. Wellfleet is in the middle of the Cape Cod National Seashore Park so much of the area is pristine but there is a lot to explore.
Sports:
There is a park nearby with tennis and other activities. The Chequessett Golf club is 300 yards away and offers golf and sailing to the public.
