We stayed in this villa for our children's Spring Break from school, the week just before Heritage Week. Our trip was doomed from the start when the owners double booked this villa and tried to move us to another smaller one bedroom unit they own as well--we are a family of four, and declined. They did honor our reservation since we booked the villa first. When we arrived there was no pass for us under our name at the Sea Pines gate and that was an ordeal from the get-go since it took almost thirty minutes to get the owners on the phone to correct the problem. The villa is in a great location and was very spacious but felt extremely old, tired and dirty and in NO way lives up to the pictures shown. There are no modern or current style updates to this unit whatsoever. Everything was sticky and I had to buy Lysol Wipes to clean every surface in the unit. 6 light bulbs were burned out, with no replacement bulbs in the villa. The carpets were stained as well as the walls in the stairwell and when it rained one day, water came in under the outside door. The bedding in the Master is so old it was surely new in the 80's and the mattress was very uncomfortable. There were NO remote controls for the TV sets in either of the upstairs bedrooms, and the remote to the TV in the living room was not programmed, so it did not work. My husband had to buy a universal remote from Publix so we could change the channel. There was a huge collection of VCR tapes, but who watches video tapes anymore???? This unit is obviously just a rental investment and NOT a home that is in any way cared for. We did NOT enjoy our stay in this villa and would never recommend it to anyone.
