Beautiful home!

I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay in Edgartown. My family, 6 adults and 2 children, rented it for a week in 7/2011 and were very happy with all aspects of our stay.
The owners were a pleasure to deal with prior to our visit. We were provided with a detailed, accurate description of the house and it’s location in relation to beaches, town, etc. In addition, helpful hints regarding ferry reservations and happenings in town during our stay were given which we found very useful as most of us were first time MV visitors.
The first thing that I noticed upon entering the house is how clean it was throughout. It was apparent that it was thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. (I am very critical when it comes to cleanliness. So, I have to admit I was a little nervous about the idea of staying in someone else’s home). The layout worked out great for our situation b/c the master bedroom (king) & loft (full) are on the opposite side of the house from the other 2 bedrooms (queen & twin). The living room, kitchen and sun room provided plenty of common gathering space for meals, visiting, etc. The rooms on the main floor have a great flow b/c while being in the same general area; you didn’t feel like you were on top of one another. The separate decks off of the kitchen and sun room worked out well for the times when some wanted to sit and chit-chat while others wanted to read or enjoy some peace and quiet. There is also a large room downstairs in the basement (w/ full-sized windows so you didn’t really feel like you were in the basement) that had a futon and TV. We didn’t end up using this room but it did offer another sleeping area or place to getaway for larger groups.
The home has great curb appeal. The hydrangeas surrounding it were in full bloom and the lawn was beautifully manicured. The backyard is large, offering plenty of room for a wiffle ball or kick ball game. It is located right off of the main road and is very convenient to town, beaches, etc. However, the street is quiet with very little traffic. It is a short ride from Oak Bluffs Beach (~5-10 minutes) which was perfect for young children. It is also ~5-10 minutes, depending on traffic, to Stop & Shop and downtown Edgartown.
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Edgartown, this is definitely a home to put on the top of your list! We’d definitely come back on our next trip to MV.
