Casa Cristina is a spacious non-overlooked South facing private villa, nestled in large grounds with pine and fruit trees, superbly located, affording complete privacy whilst offering panoramic countryside and sea views with wonderful romantic sunsets, on a Southerly wind you can hear & smell the sea!

Ground floor - WC/cloaks, split level lounge with fireplace and separate dining area, comfortably furnished with SKY TV, DVD, VCR with library, CD player. Fully fitted Kitchen with black marble quartz worktops.

One Twin bedroom and One Double bedroom both with their own En-suites.

First Floor - Via a marble staircase, the Master En-suite with His & Her sinks, Super King Size bed and its own large wrap-around sun terrace overlooks the kidney shaped pool with underwater lighting.

Built-in BBQ with ceramic tiled benches & table or there are two excellent bar/restaurants conveniently 300 yards at the end of the lane and also close enough to walk to the town of Moncarapacho with all it's amenities.

You have the comfort of knowing that Casa Cristina has been granted an Official Rental Licence (Licença de Alojamento Local) which is a legal requirement in Portugal for all properties that are available for rental. The process and issuing of the licence provides evidence and peace of mind that Casa Cristina is to the required standard.

The villa is particularly suitable for children as the pool area is walled with lockable gates. As with a villa in large grounds the pool area, sun terrace and master bedroom terrace offers complete privacy.

The pool is 8m x 4m kidney shaped with underwater lighting set in a large South facing terrace, with ample poolside furniture, sunloungers with comfortable padded covers, parasols and covered terrace for alfresco dining.

Decorative outside lighting and BBQ with ceramic tiled benches and table for the men to provide the cuisine.

Richard and Treasa our managers are very helpful, they know the best places to visit so you will find them on your first week, not on the last as is normally the case!

The Guest book with their comments says it all.

The watershoot park in Loule is only 25 Minutes away and is great fun. You can also Swim with the Dolphins at Zoomarine!

We have a number of excellent markets nearby, (a detailed information book is in the villa) where you can pick up some real bargains. On the first Sunday of the month, it is in our local village of Moncarapacho, just a short walk away. There is a daily fish market in the village with plenty of fresh meat, bread rolls, ham & cheese, fruit & veg.

There is also an interesting car-boot near the beach of Fuzeta where you will find some unusual items.

Convenient Local restaurants: For those not wishing to venture too far there are two good restaurants within 300 metres at the end of the lane, which also sells ice creams etc during the day. We use these regularly and normally pre-order during the day for the evening meal for a lovely ‘drive free’ evening.

The food is excellent and reasonably priced, you can buy ‘Piri Piri’ Chicken with Salad and French fries for only 6 euro each!

We like to ‘live like the locals’ so we go to our local food market in Moncarapacho where you can buy fresh bread rolls, cheese and ham, fish caught the same day, Meat/Chicken for the BBQ and locally grown fruit and vegetables.

Best of both worlds” only 5 Km's from Junction 15 of the A22 motorway and enjoys the beautiful tranquillity of the unspoilt Eastern Algarve countryside midway between the lovely old town of Tavira and the city of Faro in the small village of Lagoao near Moncarapacho.

This very quiet and unspoilt rural area with it's rolling hills and sea views still enjoys the traditional way of life where the local farmers can be seen transporting their goods via horse and cart.

For those not wishing to venture too far, there are two good restaurants within 300 metres at the end of the lane, which also sells ice creams etc during the day. We use these regularly and normally pre-order during the day for the evening meal.

Our small market town of Moncarapacho has a beautiful square where you can enjoy a meal and a drink or two with the locals, it's Bars and Restaurants serve excellent and reasonably priced food (Much more value for money than to the west of Faro).

Here you will also find banks, post office, internet café, chemist, doctors, 3-4 Mini Markets, fresh fish, meat & veg market and a large supermarket that is open everyday from 08:30 until 20:00.

Our local Beach of Fuzeta (4Kms) is one of the best in the Algarve and a 'Must' day out, you can also take a ferry boat (1Euro) to Fuzeta beach island.

The Islands of Culattra, Armona and Farol can be reached by Olhao (4Km’s) and the little known beach of Faro Island is worth a visit.

Supreme Golf courses such as Vale do Lobo, Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago, Benamor, Quinta da Ria/Cima and Castro Marim are all within 30 minutes of the Villa.

If all you want is a flick, in Moncarapacho there is a new Par 3 course and along our road is a 3 hole, pitch & putt (9 tees) with driving range, chipping areas and putting green, all in fantastic condition and truly superb facilities can be enjoyed by all of the family.

The Ria Formosa Nature Park is a gateway to discovering the marvellous world of fauna and flora that lives in this part of the Algarve coast, a bird watchers paradise which is only ten minutes away.

We have a number of excellent markets nearby (a detailed list is in the villa information book along with attractions and recommended restaurants) where you can pick up some real bargains.

On the first Sunday of the month, it is in our local village of Moncarapacho, just a short walk away.

Ayamonte, 35mins (the Spanish border) town has a similar market every Saturday.

Tourist resort towns with entertainment, bars, restaurants and casinos only a 15 - 40 minute drive away (depending which town you would like to visit).

Finally, for those of you who do not want to just stay on the beach or by the pool and want to see more of the original Algarve then a circular drive through Moncarapacho, Estói, Olhão and Tavira is well worth doing. Again with the A22 link this makes a good half day visit from the more touristy areas.

    A breakages deposit of £100 (payable with your balance) will be refunded within 5 days of return of the Villa keys to us providing our staff has found everything to be in order after checking the Villa inventory.

    Changeover day in the summer season is Thursday, we are flexible, please ask.
    For early arrivals, arrangements can easily be made to leave the cases at the villa.

What a fantastic place to stay! Perfect for young famillies, famillies with older kids, couples or a mixture of both. Our kids range from age 12 to 21 and they all had a brilliant time. The photos of the villa and pool are totally accurate, yes....it really is that gorgeous! It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the maids came in after a week to change the linen and cleaned again! The managers are very nice and checked up on the pool regularly and kept it beautifully clear. The owner was also very helpful throughout the booking process and all went very smoothly.

The village and local town are lovely, totally unspoilt since we were there 12 years ago. The Portugese are very friendly and children are welcome everywhere. The restaurant at the end of the road is lovely and very cheap. They have a dish of the day or you can choose from the menu. Another brilliant restaurant is the Colibri in Moncarapacho itself. Delicious food at very good value and very friendly service.

I can't decide whether to recommend this villa to friends, or keep it as a secret for myself! 99.9% sure I will be emailing the owners very soon to book for next year!

Loved the villa and its location. The area is not commercialised but still provides sufficient facilities for everyones needs with supermarkets and beaches within a 10 minute drive. As previously mentioned by other reviews the nearby town has all the facilities you need plus the feel of being typical Portugese with a small square which has a number of cafes and bars for an evening meal and drink.
The villa has easy access to main motorway which allows you to visit Spain to east or the more developed area of the Algarve to the west.
During our stay we enjoyed the seafood festival at Olhoa which provided vast amounts of food and live evening entertainment for the whole family.
The villa is clean and well maintained with linen etc. being replaced weekly. It has a rural location and is not overlooked with the pool area being private and secure. Brian provides detailed information of the surrounding area plus recommendations on restaurants, when booking the villa, which for first time visitors is most helpful.
We would recommend the villa to anyone wanting to visit Portugal but wishing to experience a little of the more relaxed lifestyle the eastern Algarve provides.
We had an enjoyable visit and intend to return in 2011.

This is a lovely villa and we would not hesitate to return. Everything in it that you could wish for. Lovely bathrooms and the cleaning lady and manager are second to none. Spotlessly clean. We had a lovely month at Casa Cristina. Cannot fault it. Thank you.

Stayed there twice

We have had two excellent holidays at Casa Cristina. The description was pretty much as the details stated; it is a secluded location, yet convenient for the charming town of Moncarapacho. As well as the sunsets, the elevated position gives it a breeze in the evening which helps cool things down in the summer. The swimming pool is a good size, and quite secluded and sheltered. The master bedroom is excellent, with its own balcony where you can just about see the sea. Nice and spacious, well maintained. The only gripes are that the satellite tv doesn't work that well and the magzines dont seem to get refreshed!

That apart, a great place to stay for a family. There are some nice little restaurants in Moncarapacho, and some great beaches along the coast. We found some tennis courts at a nearby golf complex. All in all, a great place, and very convenient for travel and access.

IDEAL FAMILY VILLA

Clean, safe,spacious property with private garden, not over looked and ideal for our children and having it's own pool made it the perfect holiday.Within walking distance to local v.friendly restaurant, and a few minutes drive to the local town where there was a variety of places to eat.
We all had a very enjoyable holiday and look forward to returning.
The owner provided excellent customer service, and was always contactable about any queries before we left.
The market in Moncarapacho which is held on the last Sunday of every month is a must see if there at the time.

Owner's Response: Thank you, the villa is private, the pool terrace is very spacious and has lockable gates to keep an eye on the little ones, if need be.
We enjoy the restaurant at the end of the lane and pre-order which is handy if you want to stay local for some nights.
We are always happy to answer any questions about making your travel arrangements, the local market town and area, beaches, markets.
