This was my fourth stay and the lovely apartment, super convient location, and consistantly high standards are why I continue to return.
The apartment layout is perfect for a couple(s) or a family. The living room is away from the bedrooms, and the baths are directly across from the bedrooms. The beds are greatly flexible; you can have two kings, a king and twins, or two bedrooms with twins. This allows great flexibility for any party. The kitchen has a full oven and refrigerator which is a wonderful bonus for those staying for a longer period. And having the grocery on the first floor is wonderful for shopping.
Buses and metro stop easy walk so forget the car or taxi! Thank you Boyd and Frankie for keeping up the high standards for your wonderful apartment.
Thank you Boyd for the use of your fabulous apartment in Paris! We are off to Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and Italy. We wish your amazing apartment could come along with us... We will return one day soon!
We stayed at Boyd and Frankie's apartment with another couple for almost three weeks. It is a nice, comfortable apartment located in security building, with a supermarket on the bottom floor, not to mention the pastry/bread store and butcher shop a block away. We had dessert every night.
We were pleased with all the living space and the layout of the rooms. The bedrooms were far enough away from the living area, for privacy and quiet
Twice a week there is an open air market steps outside the building which has produce, meat and seafood.
In the evening, we looked forward to looking at the twinkling Eifel Tower, from our bedroom and kitchen windows.
The apartment is provided with everything you would need, even tour books for exploring France.
A binder compiled with the apartment and local information was especially helpful.
Boyd called to check in on us and we called him a couple of times; he was always there to answer our questions.
We recommend this apartment.
You cannot find a more perfect apartment in Paris. Boyd & Frankie's lovely apartment is perfectly located for the visitor to gather the feel of living with true Parisians, in a residential neighborhood & yet is 1 block away from public transportation to all of the wonderful sights of Paris, about a 10 minute ride. My 2 daughters & I truly did not want to leave. We toured all thru France for 2 weeks and stayed at private apartments in the Loire Valley & in Arles. This apartment was by far the best & most comfortable. I have told all of my friends who have an interest in a Paris vacation that this is the only place to stay. We can't wait to return.
Our family of three (2 adults, 1 teenager) stayed in this lovely apartment for a week in early July. We cannot say enough nice things about the owners, apartment and neighborhood -- just fantastic. We really appreciated Boyd and Frankie's helpfulness in getting to the apartment, getting oriented to the neighborhood and Paris, and checking in with us later to ensure everything was okay. Loved the residential feel of the neighborhood and the lovely shops/amenities -- everything you need to feel at home and get around the city was within a safe and friendly two-block area. We took the metro, buses and trains everywhere and were easily to the museums, shopping, and sites within just a few minutes ride and/or walk. Language was not a barrier for anything -- there was always a way to communicate and the local business people went out of their way to help us learn customs and procedures for shopping, ordering food, riding the bus, etc. when we smiled and politely used our limited language skills, always begun with a "bonjour" and "s'il vous plaît" and ending with a "merci beaucoup". Boyd has great recommendations for restaurants and neighborhood take-out -- we tried a few and loved them. Local boulangerie/patisserie and butcher shops outstanding. We loved that we were immersed in the real Paris with very few tourists in the neighborhood.
The apartment itself is lovely, spacious and quite comfortable. Great views of the Eiffel Tower. Very nice grocery store and pharmacy on ground level and very convenient. We only needed A/C in the bedroom and it worked wonderfully. The living areas benefit from a very strong, cool cross-breeze when you open the windows in the well-equipped kitchen and living/dining room. Natural light abounds throughout, but the room darkening/blackout blinds are there if you want to use them. Two full baths in a Paris apartment are rare and these were newly remodeled and fantastic. Beds and bedrooms really comfortable. Quiet. Loved the en-suite laundry. The building is quite safe and secure. Neighbors friendly. We felt perfectly comfortable taking the metro back to the neighborhood around midnight -- sidewalk cafes still busy and an easy one-block walk to the apartment. Our teenager declared that she will someday move to Paris and wants to live in this apartment (smile).
Thank you so much, Boyd and Frankie, for your wonderful hospitality and a fantastic Paris experience! We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!
Boyd & Frankie's place in the 15th Arrondissment was perfect for the one week summer visit to Paris of our family of four. The apartment was conveniently located and had everything we needed, not to mention the Eiffel Tower view. The Metro was only three blocks away, a fabulous Supermarket just an elevator ride down and the train to Versailles a 10 minute walk. From the time we contacted him, Boyd was very easy to deal with and was extremely helpful, providing us with valuable advice that made our time in Paris quite memorable. We plan on recommending this gem of a place to our friends and family and are hoping to return the next time we are in Paris.
We are 11 minutes to the heart of Paris ( Place Concorde/Champs Elysees/Louvre ) via the #8 Metro. Take 10 minutes more and hop the #42 or 39 bus, goes the same place but you get a sight seeing trip for the price of the metro ticket.
Escape the tourist traps and come live like the real French people do.Great area with lots to see, eat, and shop all the things real French people expect.
Other Activities: Shopping,New Supermarket on Ground Floor of Building, Close by you will find Fitness Center, Aqua Boulavard Aquatic Park, Multi-Plex Cinema, Huge Park
