Casa Grande, downstairs, accommodates a maximum of 6 people with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. The 500 sq. ft. deck off of the living room and the large enclosed backyard extend living space.
The property has been continually upgraded since 2012. In 2012, we tore out old kitchen and opened wall to living room. Now guests can visit while the chef is preparing meals. The new kitchen has all stainless appliances, high-end cupboards, Caesar stone counter, and tiled wall.
In 2013 we tore out old bathrooms and modernized them with glass and porcelain tile and granite countertops. Several doors and windows were also replaced.
We have just replaced the living room furniture and the kids room with new 'Tommy Bahama' furnishings: all adds to a nice fresh look.
The new washer and dryer gives guests the facility of keeping their clothes fresh.
In keeping with new trends in linens, we have purchased new spa linens and duvets. The kids room has traditional bedspread in Tommy Bahamas style. All blankets, throws, covers are washed on a regular basis.
TVs (4 flat screens) are in each bedroom and the living room; DVD players and CD players are in the living room and the kids’ room. Fully equipped kitchen. Gas BBQ is on the deck.
Porta-Cribs and High-Chairs are also available. Bicycles, Boogie Boards, Beach Chairs. Outdoor hot/cold shower. Wireless internet.
Casitas del Mar is a spacious duplex consisting of two residences with private entrances, decks, garages, and large interior rooms which provide privacy and space. Upstairs is not available for rent.
Location: Casa Grande is located in an excellent low-density family neighborhood. There are no bars or restaurants in the immediate vicinity: but a short 10 minute walk down boardwalk takes you to dozens and dozens of restaurants and night spots.
Noise ordinances (ie loud music, large noisy groups) are strictly enforced to ensure that neighbors who live and work year round are accorded respect.
Parking regulations are strictly enforced.
Please note that this is not a 'Party House.' We specialise in housing families.

Wow! What can we say??? My mother (63), myself (37) and my daughter (3 months) stayed here for six weeks this winter (January and February). We LOVED the place! Pam, the owner, has set up a very comfortable and welcoming rental. The three bedrooms are spacious and there are two full bathrooms. The kitchen has all the required amenities and there is a BBQ, although we didn't use it. We loved eating lunch out on the patio, while my daughter played in the sunlight. The rental is spotless and Pam has very high standards of cleanliness, so you don't need to worry about that at all. She was very helpful to us, often checking in to see if we have everything we needed. We did not have a car, but we rented one a few times and there is a parking spot. There are a couple of bus routes within one block, which let you get downtown and to some specific sightseeing spots (Balboa Park, for example). The travel times are about 30 minutes by bus. But you can't beat the location. . .it's one block from the start of a long, long boardwalk. We walked this every single day and enjoyed listening to the ocean waves, watching the surfboarders and getting some exercise. It was heavenly! There are two grocery stores within walking distance, so you can get all your supplies. There are also a selection of restaurants nearby (Fatburger and Rubio's Mexican Grill). When it comes down to the bottom line, we were happy every day and we definitely plan to return there again. We wish we could have stayed longer, but Pam had guests who come back every March. Don't hesitate, book this place and go!

North Pacific Beach, specifically Law Street Beach/Palisades Park Beach, is known to locals and surfers more than tourists. The neighborhood homes are large on bigger lots, so high density is not an issue. Neighbors are friendly and know eachother. Return guests soon become part of the neighborhood. This property is special due to its size. The exceptionally large enclosed back yard is great for families with small kids. The large 500 sq ft deck is perfect for dining or relaxing in the sun. The newly remodeled kitchen opens into living room and promotes socializing. Bedrooms are large and comfortable. Newly remodel bathrooms include one bathtub/shower combo (main bath) and one shower (master)
This property which is just around the corner from miles and miles of beach allows residents to not be subject to noisy crowds but gives them access to the beach. Restaurants and entertainment is just minutes away down the boardwalk.
