Beautiful ocean and mountain views only add to this already beautiful and spacious home. And, if you have never been to Puamana, don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting to return year after year as many other visitors do.
Puamana is a picturesque, gated oceanfront community on 30 acres of lovingly maintained tropical grounds. There are three swimming pools (including one right on the ocean), tennis and badminton courts, a restored plantation home/clubhouse, and large grassy open spaces overlooking the ocean with hammocks for lounging in the sun or watching the spectacular sunsets. And Puamana is a well-known surf spot that residents can access right from the property!
This 2,000 square foot home offers all the comforts of home, but in a gorgeous, tropical setting. Besides three bedrooms and bathrooms, there are two expansive lanais for relaxing or entertaining while enjoying the ocean views, a large den/family room on the second floor, and a separate office area.
This beautiful, spacious, ocean view home is perfect for 2-3 couples plus a few children, a large family, Maui wedding accommodations or family reunion. It is completely remodeled, fully equipped, and air-conditioned throughout. It is set up with all the comforts of home, and if there is anything you need, the property managers live right in Lahaina and are just a phone call away.
This is a great place! The unit is very nicely decorated and comfortable. Lot's of space. The Puamana grounds are beautiful and well kept.
It was nice to in a quiet place but close to the action of Lahaina.
We enjoyed our stay and would not hestitate to return.
Our family of four stayed in this well-appointed condo for 10 days and it was perfect. It was more than we could have hoped for. Located within walking distance of Lahaina made for fun family outings. The two provided bicycles were an added bonus that made us feel like locals. Puamana is a quiet gated community with beautiful grounds including pools and tennis courts. The sunsets from the upstairs lanai were breathtaking. The floor plan of the condo is spacious with the main living area and master suite on the first floor. Upstairs is an additional living area with two more bedrooms and a bathroom which was great for the kids to have their own space! It is so spacious that we are already planning a return trip to stay here with another family and it will easily accommodate us all. Our vacation was exceptional because of this wonderful place to come home to in the evening or relax in all day!
We just returned from staying at this quaint spot. We had rented it for a small family reunion that included ages 4 to 74. Overall, we were pleased with our stay here. The small private beach was a great place for the kids to get used to the waves and the adults to learn how to surf. We were close enough to Lahaina to walk, but didn't hear the noise of the town. This is a QUIET area with the feel of a retirement community. There was a sign at one of the pools that said, "NO MARCO POLO" and while we were at the pool someone complained that our children were being too noisy so the security guard told us to quiet down?! Also, some adults kicked our kids off the tennis courts even though they had signed up for a specific time to use the courts and had waited their turn (who is the adult here?). The condo for the most part was very clean and comfortable. Our only issues were that quite a few light bulbs needed to be replaced throughout the house, many of the glasses and mugs were broken, the pots and pans were pretty trashed, and the blender didn't work well which made it hard to make our pina-coladas. With that being said, the amount of sand toys, beach towels, beach mats/chairs, and cruiser bikes available at the house made up for it! Finally, the club house on the grounds was a spectacular place to have happy hour and watch the sunset every night. We were never disappointed. When we return, we will definitely look to come back here.
We loved the location. Quick bike ride to Lahaina, or a nice walk. Everything was wonderful. Only wished there were better pots/pans/beach towels. House was clean up dated loved having the master bedroom downstairs, great upstairs for entertaining. Beach real close, sandy but lots of rocks, so boading was out of the question, early morning snorkling not bad, but you drive 5-10 miles in either direction and wonderful surf and snorkling! would return! If you like quiet and beauty then this is the place for you. the bikes and extra snorkle equipment, umbrella, ice box was very handy! Thanks! The Tims from Grass Valley, CA
I love to travel. My lifelong dreams don't include mansions or a ton of stuff, they are all about travelling the world. Sadly, I do not get to travel as much as I would like. So I was so excited when I found out I was travelling with my family to Maui. Both my mother and I were immediately drawn to this place on VRBO, and my mom immediately contacted the owner.
The owner was prompt in her reply, and amazing to deal with. Very friendly and helpful. We booked for our 10 night stay in their home.
There were 6 adults and 2 four year old children. The kids immediately took to the place, and settled in right away as though it was their own home back in Alberta. For all 8 of us it was extremely comfortable, not cramped in the least.
We stocked up with food from Costco, and ate at the house almost every night, enjoying the lanai. The table outside was large enough to seat all eight of us. The lanai was a great spot to sit and enjoy your morning Kona coffee while listening to the sounds of the ocean!
We were impressed by the amount of items supplied for our use. There were beach toys (the kids LOVED these), bicyles, snorkelling equipment, beach towels, and much more. We used the bicyles all the time to bike into Lahaina, which was about a 5 minute bike ride away.
The community the house was located in was wonderful as well. A gated community, it was very quiet and safe, and everyone was so friendly. There were 3 pools (although the kids could only play in one, the other two are quiet pools) and an amazing beach. I loved just going for walks around Puamana and enjoying the peacefulness.
Only one thing went wrong, and that was that the AC unit for upstairs broke down on our second last night through no fault of our own or the owners. These things happen, and they happened to have a portable AC unit that still made it comfortable to sleep at night!
When all was said and done, I loved Maui, and I think in part it was due to the wonderful home that I stayed in. I would highly recommend this house and want to thank the owners for opening their home to my family and I. I look forward to my next trip to Maui and hope to stay here again!!
My wife and I with our 6 young adults had a fantastic time staying in this unit. It was a pleasure to communicate with the Marcus family and we felt very secure renting from them. As others have noted, the unit is quite spacious, we stayed downstairs and the 6 kids upstairs. There is a Large family room upstairs which they used quite often. The kitchen was well stocked and the BBQ was well - maintained. They even supplied 2 tanks of propane! We ate in most of the time and enjoyed meals on the downstairs lanai. I was quite impressed with the air conditioning, for all of the upstairs bedrooms were well- ventilated. Our kids slept well. The shed was big, enough to store our snorkel, boogie boards and surf boards over night. They even had 2 bikes, cruisers...they were totally cool.
In the evenings we really enjoyed the upstairs lanai, with star gazing and listening to the surf. A piece of heaven. They had lots of beach chairs ( we carted all over the island). We bought a nice big beach umbrella from Costco, so don't buy one.
Snorkelling around black rock was epic, for we swam with 4 reef sharks, definitely the highlight for our kids. Appys at bubba gump was awesome, for they seemed to enjoy a group of crazy Canucks.
We will definitely return.
