Swim, fish, or dock your boat in your own front yard; Launch your small craft right next door; Watch the sunset over the dunes from your living room. Rent our deck boat or a jet-ski just down the road. Or drive five miles into downtown Ludington where you will find golf, movie theatres, bowling, go-carts, putt-putt golf, Lake Michigan fishing, a wonderful sandy beach, and numerous restaurants, ice-cream parlors, and shopping.

Nearby is Ludington State Park, the most popular park in Michigan, with a sandy beach, concession stand, picnic sites, and miles of shaded bike trails. In winter, just walk out your door for snowmobiling, ice-fishing, or cross-country skiing.

If you are a fisherman, Ludington is the premier salmon fishing port in Michigan and Hamlin Lake is loaded with walleyes, pike, bluegills, bass, and perch. Come spend a week in this wholesome family environment!!

We purchased our house as our retirement home, but we are still some years away from retiring. So we thought we share our home with guests until those retirement years roll around. It's a peaceful and scenic setting and the water can be viewed from most rooms in the house.

Annual Family Reunion

My family has held our family reunion here for the past several years. There is plenty to do (swimming, hiking, boating, kayaking, fishing, beach-ing, BBQ-ing, exploring the towns in the area, antique-ing, games, DVDs, music) and plenty of space to do it in, rain or shine. As other reviewers have said, every need has been anticipated. The home is nicely but comfortably furnished, in good repair, and always clean and organized. We think it is well worth the drive from Northeast Ohio.

We look foreward to our visit every September. Everything is there for us. It's comfy and gives us a chance to relax and just have a great girls getaway time. We always take one sightseeing trip each time we're there. The sunsets are truly done by the hand of God.

The Best Place Around!

We have rented this cottage for several years and absolutely love this place. The owner has provided every possible amenity to make your stay memorable and fun. Look no further if you want a place that accommodates a large group or a couple of families (with kids) because this place will give you all the comforts for a nice time. The washer and dryer, large addtl freezer for fishing, and 2 full bathrooms, 2 sitting rooms - one with a piano and the other upstairs for the kids to watch TV/movies and play games, wireless connection and closed-in back porch give you the room to hold a lot of people without being on top of each other. Even at night parents can put the little ones to bed and enjoy a game of cards, talking or watching TV without waking anyone. We will keep coming back as long as it is a rental.

Great Winter Getaway

This house exceeded expectations! I came here with my husband for a winter get-away. We snuggled on the comfy couch with our novels, enjoyed movies on the flat-screen TV, and watched the snow-mobilers and ice fishermen on the lake. We found coffee in the cupboard, movies in the DVD cabinet, novels in the bookcase and sing-along books on the piano (yes, a piano!). We meant to head into town for a night at the movies, but the house had everything, so we never left! We could have had 4 more couples with us; There was plenty of room. This house has everything you could ever need for a cosy winter getaway. We will be back!
