We just got home early this morning. The condo was absolutely beautiful. It provided everything we could possibly need and more and its so nicely done. I was so impressed when we walked in!! The views from the balcony were unbelievable - - never got tired of that!
We had a wonderful time exploring the island and Bob did a great job of showing us around. The people are so friendly and helpful. We both hope we can visit again. Seriously, I don't want to tell anyone about this island, because I don't want to see it changed!!!
Mohola for letting us enjoy your great getaway!

Just wanted to be in touch with you regarding our stay at your Molokai home. It was wonderful! We truly enjoyed the luxury and comfort of the condo. Since I love to cook, I really appreciated the appliances and stock of cookware and accessories. I am looking forward to returning with my husband for a visit. Again, many Mahalos for sharing your home.
My wife and I stayed here for a few days while on vacation and it was a great location to explore both ends of the island. The condo itself was clean, quiet, and had great views of Maui and the ocean. We had a great time going on a snorkeling trip to the barrier reef and exploring the island by car. We had just come from Maui, so it was nice to be on an island where things are reasonably-priced (other than the gas). We would recommend this condo to anyone wanting to visit Molokai.
My husband and I arrived to a clean, comfortable, beautiful condo with a beautiful view of the ocean and the island of Maui. I am somewhat of a germaphobe, so I was worried that the condo would not be clean enough but it definitely was. We slept comfortably on the bed. We didn't cook but the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and baking supplies/utensils. Coming from an already slow-moving, laid-back island, I found Molokai to be much slower than where I'm from and it took getting used to. My husband, a hunter, would love to go back for a hunting expedition. We enjoyed going to the museum, Halawa Valley, Kalaupapa lookout, and the phallic rock (we hope the legend about the rock is true!). The island, called the Friendly Isle, lived up to its name. The locals there are friendly!
My husband and I arrived the evening of January 1, 2015, very tired from a full day of traveling. When we walked in the condo it was perfect! The pictures and write up were 100% accurate and showed exactly what we walked into. We thoroughly enjoyed our two months in the condo and resort. Our main objective was to escape the cold winter and we absolutely did. We spent many afternoons by the pool or sitting beside the ocean, enjoying the breeze and watching for whales. We were relaxed, we were warm and content. The biggest adjustment for me was the grocery markets. I had never shopped in a market so small, and with such a condensed selection of items! But I did adjust and we didn't starve during our stay. We did have a couple of favorite restaurants, Molokai Burger and Mana'e Goods and Grinds. The Cook House had some good food, but we felt overpriced, and the bakery had wonderful bread. We recommend that anyone visiting Molokai visit Kauluapapa Nat'l Historic Site. We rode the Molokai Mules down the cliff and were glad we did, but don't need to ride them again. (If you ride the mules down and back up, be sure to have a good supply of BenGay on hand for the next two days.) The tour of the lepers colony was very informative and interesting. We rode the ferry to Maui for the day and enjoyed walking around the town. We flew to Oahu for a couple of days, and toured Pearl Harbor. We recommend a visit to the Arizona Memorial for everyone who goes to Hawaii. We really hated to leave the condo and resort, but we were beginning to miss home. We met a number of wonderful people, and enjoyed the potlucks and holiday parties and general comradiery. We would recommend this condo and resort to anyone. It provided a wonderful base for wandering the islands and for just relaxing.
I spent the month of December 2014 at the Wavecrest in the unit 306C in Molokai. I had an amazing time! First, the condo...Really nice, spacious, clean, modern look. The kitchen is very well equipped. I had a surprise invitation to go to a wedding and was asked to bake dessert. To my surprise, I found everything I needed mixer, bowls, spatula and even serving plates! Now, that made my life that much easier...(Thanks Jane!)
The bed is really comfortable and I slept great right away. Of course, some people may mention the roosters early in the morning but to be honest with you, they didn't bother me at all.
The building and community area (pool, cabana and tennis court) are all extremely well maintained. There is always someone cleaning and tending the beautiful landscaping of the place. The pool is not heated but for me it was a plus...I found it to be refreshing. Always some chairs available at the pool and on the premises. BBQ grills are always kept clean and are working great. There is even a fridge at the cabana if you wish to bring some refreshments during the day or keep your food cold while you BBQ.
The island...Well, it is so beautiful! As much the sea, as the mountains. Everywhere you look it's a beautiful sight. Naturally, if you are looking for clubbing, going out in a different restaurant every night...Molokai might not be the place for you. But if like me you are looking to experience a simple, relaxing vacation...don't hesitate, BOOK NOW!
I used Molokai Outdoors for my activities and Clare, the owner, was absolutely awesome. I ended up renting a kayak for the month and did a few hiking trails. I used her services for my transportation as well. Excellent service, I highly recommend her.
The best surprise for me was the people I had the chance to meet at the Wavecrest. People living there permanently or a few months out of the year...they were all so nice and friendly. I felt at home and they became like friends during my stay. I found myself missing them when I was back home! Among those people, you can't go there without getting introduced to Nelson, the local fisherman of the place. You'll see him repair his fishing net and, for a few dollars, he'll prepare fish in ti leaf ready to BBQ for you! Can't go to the Wavecrest without eating some of Nelson's treats!
I didn't rent a car and traveled with the local bus. It's free but you should leave a donation. Amazing time, beautiful place, wonderful people...
The Island was everything i dreamed it would be and more.... The condo was very clean and as soon as i walked in the door i felt at home...
Our home away from the condo were the incredible beach's and Paddler's Inn...
Great memories i'll always cherish....

Condo is located on the east side of the island. This is the lush green side with calm, safe sandy beaches good for swimming and snorkeling. Want to take a day trip to Maui? Take the ferry which is 13 miles from the condo.
