House, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1.25 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

A Cabin for All Seasons....

This high quality lake home is tastefully decorated with a Northwood's theme and includes spectacular lake views. The lake home includes breath taking picturesque views of the lake from a wall of windows in the great room and faces East for gorgeous sunrises. Knotty pine walls and ceilings throughout the interior create a wonderful 'Up North' feeling. The stunning Vaulted & Beamed Great Room opens to a large upper level lakeside deck equipped with log furniture and a gas grill. A 12x12 Screened Porch furnished with table and chairs and wicker furniture creates another relaxing area to enjoy. A second lower level deck includes a Log Swing and other Log Furniture.

The Master Bedroom is complete with an inviting Queen Log Bedroom Set that is sure to please. A second bedroom with a queen bed is located on the main level. Sky lights in the Upper Loft Area create an open and spacious feel. A Queen Bed and Futon in the Loft allow you to peek at the Moon and Stars. Experience the glider chair and ottoman to relax and read your favorite book in complete comfort. The lower level of the lake home is a recreational game room with a ping pong table and a 7 foot Air Hockey game table.

Bring your favorite DVD movies and CD's to play on the Surround Sound Stereo System in the Great Room or curl up next to the Fieldstone Fireplace to unwind from your busy schedule, or play some Ping Pong on the table tennis set up in the lower level.

Lake Minong (Minong Flowage) is a highly desirable lake in Northwestern Wisconsin. It is 1564 acres in size and is similar to the Canadian Wilderness. There are numerous islands with little bays to explore. The shoreline is heavily wooded with pines and hardwoods, and the lake provides abundant walleye, northern, bass and panfish. It is considered a sportsman's and recreational lake with good quality lake water. Swimming is great at Sand Island, the park public beach, or just off the dock.

This area also includes miles and miles of ATV and snowmobiling trails and is quite heavily forested.

If you need any supplies there is a great General Store located within 3 miles of the Lake Home. This store provides groceries, wine and beer, dvd rentals, fishing licenses and bait, gas, propane, and a full selection of hardware tools and supplies. Specialty coffee drinks available as well.

The Lake Home is located only 25 miles west of the quaint town of Hayward, Wisconsin with a wide selection of shops and restaurants.

About The Owner

My wife and I found this property after searching for ten years to obtain a high quality lakeshore lot in which to build a dream home. We had so much fun creating a cozy northwoods home and did not use one piece of sheet rock. The home is filled with knotty pine walls and beamed ceilings. We love just sitting by the fieldstone fireplace!

Locating the lake home on a large lake with many islands and bays to explore seemed like the perfect place. When we saw the Bald Eagles nesting on the lake we were sold on the location.

What makes this house unique

The deck overlooking the lake is one of the prettiest views we have seen. It truly is like the 'On Golden Pond' movie pictures with a jutting peninsula and Pine trees.

Luxurious cabin with every detail

This was our second time staying in this beautiful cabin and we will definitely be back. The pictures do not do it justice. The home is beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean and they have every convenience. If you like to cook, they have a wide array of accessories, even a slow cooker. I have never seen a rental so thoughtfully done - we really felt right at home. The owners are so friendly and helpful and gave us lots of ideas about winter activities and places to eat. The view of the lake is gorgeous. We came in the winter, eager to snowshoe, go snowmobiling, visit the town and explore, all of which we recommend, but found ourselves just wanting to relax and enjoy our time at this spacious, well appointed home.

Our stay was fantastic! The view from the cabin is phenomenal, the wildlife was abundant and the cabin was super cozy. This well maintained cabin is the perfect retreat for a romantic getaway, family gathering or wildlife adventure. We will be back next year!

Second time even better than the first!

We had just a great time last year we came back with another family. On the second day my friend said as we had just finished a typical day of waterskiing, tubing and swimming at "Sand Island", "this is the best vacation we have ever had." We can't wait for next summer.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!

We just spent our 4th vacation in this chalet. It is so beautiful, clean, peaceful, roomy, cozy, equipped...with three kids, ages 15,13, and 9, they were never bored. Smores/hotdogs over the fire pit, fishing off the pier, scenic walks through the woods (seen lots of wildlife), swimming, air hocky, chess/checkers, game nights, and ping pong tournaments...lots of memories made and quality time spent!! The days we wanted to get out, it's just a short drive to restaurants, shopping, canoeing, horseback riding, mini golf, etc., and if you have your own boat like we do, it's just a two minute drive to launch...just an all around great vacation stay whether you are a couple or family. I just recommended it to my cousin and her husband wanting to celebrate their 20th anniversary. We look forward to the relaxation every year. One week is never enough time!!!

Our 2nd visit proved to be as grand as our first! Home was as clean and inviting as you could want. Beautiful setting and views abound! Kids loved the loft and game tables (very family friendly) Lake proved again to be abundantly full of fish as we dined nightly on bass, crappie and even bone filled northern pike! Owners seem genuinly concerned with the comfort of your stay. Thanks for another memorable experience.
