Description: Newer log sided cabin with large cover porch & back deck, surrounded with old oaks, pines & fruit trees. 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen , washer & dryer, game room for kids foosball, arcade games.

Golf: There are 4 golf courses within 10 minutes from cabin .

Biking and Walking: The gateway trail less then 1 mile from cabin, this trail is an old railroad track which has been paved also is a horse trail unpaved goes for miles east and west.http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_trails/gateway/index.html

Better than expected

My family spent a week at this rental home in July 2007. It was the best home rental we have rented yet. We have a 2 year old and a 5 year old. Both boys loved the swing set and sand box. The home had additional fun stuff that wasn't mentioned. There were games, books and movies. The basement had a foos ball table, 2 stand up arcade games along with many other toys.
While this is a rural location it was only about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Stillwater. The rural location made for lots of wildlife. The owners had several bird feeders and a big block of food that the deer would come and eat off every morning. We saw many different kinds of birds. Cardinals, Oreal's, Canarys, Finches and many others I have never seen. We also saw 3 families of wild turkeys that would wander through the property each afternoon. There were also many fruit trees that had lots of ripening fruit. Basically, I did not feel like I was staying in a rental home but more like a home that was clean, well stocked and well cared for.
Thanks for listing this home for rent. Next time I come to Minnesota I will definitely be wanting to stay again.

Great Place To Stay In MN

Renting over the Internet has an element of uncertainty, especially if you are from out of town. This Stillwater cabin was everything we wanted and more. We had a very pleasant surprise when we opened the door. It was very clean and the amenities are understated. There was a lot thoughtfulness put into making sure guests have everything they need. These owners were more than accommodating and went out of their way for us. I have recommended this rental to other family members from out of town and, when the occasion arises for us to visit Minnesota again, we sincerely hope that this cabin will be available.

Fantastic Weekend! Perfect Place

We rented the cabin in the woods to celebrate my moms 50th birthday. It was fantastic. The owners were so easy to work with, everything was in perfect condition. The place is even better than this website makes it sound. We had a fire in the fire pit, we used the grill to cook out, we played games in the game room, played cards, etc. I can't wait to come back to Stillwater and rent this place again. Thanks for everything!

Great place to get away from it all close to everything

My family (6 adults, 1 toddler) stayed for 3 nights just after Christmas. It couldn't have been better. It was close to the Twin Cities for those who needed to go into work, close to Stillwater for those who wanted to browse the shops, and still had the feeling of truly being away from it all off of a dirt road in the woods (hearing the horses in the background). The floor-plan is very comfortable for a group. People can be in the living room for "together time" or go into their own rooms for privacy. Very modern, yet cozy (with all of the Christmas decorations). We'd love to go back in the fall and go biking on the nearby trail. Highly recommend for low-key relaxation.

Everything I could think of

We stayed here for Christmas, and found it delightful. Everytime I would think of something I needed-there it was! We had 4 adults and 4 kids (We brought our own cots) and we had a GREAT time. I would love to come back and stay again sometime. We had another family over for dinner one night, and I don't think we saw the kids al evening, they had so much fun in the basement. It was a cozy and memorable place to stay. In Addition, they had decorated the cabin for Christmas, complete with Christmas tree-I think they had more decorations than we did at home! It was so warm and relaxing.
