Great Location:
We are a stone's throw from The Campgrounds with the famous gingerbread houses. It is such fun to wander through and see all of the colorful homes. Ocean Park, with the Gazebo, is a wonderful spot for picnics, flying kites, or just relaxing with a good book. It's right on the ocean, and a 10 minute walk from the house. You can watch the ferries and other boats. Circuit Ave is bustling with shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, gourmet coffee, an arcade, and a hopping night life. No need to drive, you can walk there in 5 minutes.
Right down the street from Circuit Ave is the 'Flying Horses', the famous indoor merry-go-round where you can go for the brass ring and win a free ride.
Quality, Quality, Quality:
Everything in the house is about quality. All mattresses, even the TWO sleeper sofas are from a quality furniture store. All windows have custom made wood blinds. The wainscoting and crown molding add a warm beachy feel. This house has all of the comforts of home. The kitchen has everything that you could possibly need. There is so much entertainment. There are several televisions, most with DVD players, and a stereo with CD player. Several i-Homes. There are clocks and night lights in all of the bedrooms, as well as ceiling fans. The basement will keep the kids busy on a rainy day, with ping pong, air hockey. There are games, cards, and poker chips.
The beautiful furniture, Ralph Lauren bedding, and window treatments tie it all together.
Outdoors, there is a very quiet yard with a large mahogany deck and outdoor shower (with hot water). There is a table and chairs for 6 on the deck, and a brand new stainless gas grill. There is plenty of parking.
There is so much to do on Martha's Vineyard:
The Vineyard has great beaches. The biking on the island is wonderful. There are bike paths all over the island, and biking is a great way to explore the island, and find wonderful spots that you would never see in a car. There is wonderful dining all over the island. Remember, that all of the towns are BYOB, except for Edgartown and Oak Bluffs. There is theater, art galleries, and shopping. For the kids, the arcade on Circuit Ave is a big hit, as well as the home made ice cream, at your choice of places. Jumping off the Edgartown Bridge is the highlight of many trips to the island. The mini-golf on State Road is fun for a change of pace, and don't forget all that there is to see up-island: the cliffs at Gay Head, the beautiful sunsets at the beach in Menemsha, which is a quaint fishing village, and the home-made chocolate at Chilmark Chocolates.
