South Ocean Villa is a new property located in the heart of the South Coast on the beach. It is 1,200 square feet of tile, marble, and coral. It shares the same beach as four of Barbados finest resorts including the Barbados Hilton. The unique location and design by world famous architect Ian Morrison, offers breathtaking views of the entire South Coast of the island with no obstruction, and it is possibly the finest view on the island. The property sits literally in the sea and affords some of the most intensely beautiful sunrises and sunsets to be found anywhere. Its location on the main road insures that you can walk to any of the many restaurants, shopping centers, banks, and grocery stores in the area. Public transportation is located right out the door. With over 50 years experience on the island, we can help you maximize and economize your visit to our special "paradise." They just completed a new government Boardwalk which links the Hilton Beach with Rockley Beach. It is about 2 miles long and is a great place to jog, walk, and explore along the sea. Truly a beautiful addition and it is located right outside your door.
Enjoy the sound of the surf off one of your two balconies. Swim in the private pool and bask in the sun on the private sundeck. Venture on the beach to swim in the sea or walk for miles.

The addition of the new government boardwalk has increased the value of enjoyment with this property. You are now able to move quickly and safely to the beach, restaurants, and shops all while enjoying the beautiful sea. It is great to people watch and to burn off some of those "Rum Calories."
Overall the propery was as listed and the island was beautiful. We had a wonderful stay. Organizing the rental was quite easy, however our security deposit was never returned nor was our request for an explaination for this. We were rarely in the condo as there were many attractions to visit, so we are still awaiting an answer.
Great apartment for a comfortable family stay. Was perfect with our 18 month old daughter. Beach at the end of the boardwalk was calm and felt safe to have her play in. Evening walks along the boardwalk showcase the sunset and provide several dining/drink options. Beautiful to wake up to the sounds of the ocean every morning. Communication with owners was easy and recommend this particular villa in the building to anyone visiting Barbados.
This was our first time in Barbados and we found the perfect location. Steps to the beach, a new boardwalk and an onsite pool. Plenty of space for two couples in the 1200 sq/ft unit. Postcard worthy sunrises and sunsets. We were surprised by how hot the sun was early in the morning but it was a welcom change from the Canadian winter. Food was excellent - Champers, Naru and Tapas were our favorites. The rum punch was tasty but dangerous. The food huts were a welcome bonus for a quick snack on the beach. We walked miles of beach from the Hilton to Champers (we even walked all the way to St. Lawrence Gap from the condo!) mostly in bare feet. Simply amazing. I would go back in a heartbeat... now all I need is for someone to watch the kids for a week ;)
We just came back from Christmas/New Years vacation. We are absolutely in love with Barbados and the place. The villa and its location are great. Communication with the owners was flawless plus they provided a plethora of helpful information. We decided to take it easy and not rent a car so that we would not be driving around all day long checking out the island. About a month before the vacation we changed our minds and tried to rent a car but had no luck as we were visiting during the busiest season. We are glad we did not get the car as the location of the villa does not really require you to have one. The beach is outside the door. There is also a boardwalk that takes you to Accra beach (our favorite) and surfing/scuba spots is just a walk away (not on Boardwalk but in the beach). You can catch a route taxi that will get you to Bridgetown or St. Laurence Gap in minutes. You can take a bus or a cab to go anywhere else and avoid dealing with tiny roads and driving on the "wrong" side of the road (we are from US). We are looking forward to coming back.
We've been coming to Barbados for 20 years and thought we had seen it all - but we hadn't been to South Ocean Villas. Mark and Susyn's apartment is truly a home from home rather than a holiday let. Facilities first class, comfy beds, excellent fully fitted kitchen and the furnishings give a truly Caribbean feel. The view from the balcony is fantastic, lovely sunrises and spectacular sunsets, there was always something interesting to see, from early and late joggers on the Boardwalk to turtles swimming past the apartment. It felt as though the pool and patio were just for us as we often had this facility to ourselves. The management company were 1st class and Natalie was just a phone call away. Marguerite the cleaner did a wonderful job as the apartment was spotlessly clean. We were sorry to leave and hopefully we will be back, thank you Mark and Susyn for a wonderful holiday.
We had a fabulous time at South Ocean Villa. The location is central to everything - shops , restaurants, beaches, boardwalk etc. The bus stop is in front of the condo and will take you everywhere.
The condo met our needs. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms with dining area and livingroom plus a small balcony off of the master bedroom. There is a washer and dryer which was nice to have as we stayed for three weeks. The kitchen had all that we needed. It is a fully functional condo. The view is breathtaking. There is always a wonderful breeze that flows through the condo. All staff were very friendly and attentive. We rented a car for a period of time and there is an underground parking spot. The unit has air conditioning in the bedrooms. I would highly recommend this property. We look forward to a return visit. Thank you.
