My mom and I stayed there last fall, what a great place! We had such a good time we are headed back with 3 more people. Comfortable, clean, cozy, very pretty. It will be tough to stay at a motel after staying there. The area it is located in is beautiful. Tucked away, but not far from resturants, shopping, skiing, wineries, and of course nature. Thanks its a wonderful vacation
Had a great trip with family (kids and grandparents). Perfect location to Crystal Mountain and Crystal Lake. Property was spotless and very well planned out. Plus the huge yard was perfect for kids to run around safely. We went up for a long weekend. Hiking, biking, bonfires, boating, and zip lining. And relaxing hot tub in the evenings. Exactly what we wanted. Only minor issue was broken railing on the bunk bed. No big deal and based on the amazing upkeep of the property, I'm sure it will be fixed soon. Will definitely consider another trip next year. Thanks.
We have never rented a house before for vacation and we are so glad it was at All Seasons Lodge! My fiance and I stayed there with our two dogs this past weekend. We had a few questions, never having rented before, and the owners were patient and answered all our questions quickly.
Super clean and cozy, the woods are perfect for exploring. It's nice and private, but still close to major roads.
It's close to a lot of really fun trails and the dunes, of course.
We are already planning who we're bringing up with us next time.
Thank you for a great trip!
We had a great stay. The house/cabin is very well taken care of and offers everything that you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay away from home. Plenty of space, nice interior, comfortable beds, great piece of property that offers all the privacy that one would want for an "up north" cabin. Also, a great hot tub to relax in after a busy day of enjoying the nearby sites and attractions.
The cabin is only a 1/2 mile from Crystal Mountain Resort that offers a ton to do for the family: swimming, alpine slides, wall climbing, golf, paintball and dining. The prices at Crystal Mountain were reasonable for non-guests.
This was a great "base camp" to see the nearby attractions: Crystal Lake, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Frankfort, other M-22 towns, Traverse City, bike trails....most things were within a 30-40 minute drive.
The only negative that we can think of for the cabin is that there is no air-conditioning. The week we were up there was in the high 80's most days - so it could get a bit warm within the cabin. They do offer plenty of fans that definitely helped to make it much more tolerable.
The owners were great to deal with as well.
If we ever go back up that way for a vacation or long weekend - we will definitely consider returning to this Cabin.
We were so excited to have found this place. We attended a wedding at Crystal Mountain(which was only 0.5 miles away!) and wanted a place that was not on the resort but still close. While looking we came across this place and we were so thankful to have done so! The cabin with it's 3 bedrooms were perfect for the 6 of us that were there! It was more fun all staying together rather than having individual hotel rooms for the night!! Everything was clean, and in perfect condition for us. This was the cutest cabin we could have stayed in. We can't say enough great things about the owners. They were so inviting, and gave us ideas on things in the area to do(even informing us if we wanted to know where something else may be to just give them a call and they would help to make sure we enjoyed our vacation to it's best!) There is a great bon fire pit, and a hot tub! The hot tub was super clean and ready to go when we got there! We have all talked about next summer coming up this way, and we would only stay at this place! It was everything and more than we could of asked for. THANKS FOR A GREAT VACATION GETAWAY SPOT!:)!!
I found this cabin on HomeAway.com while searching for a reasonably priced, pet-friendly cabin in Northern Michigan. After viewing the photos, we had high expectations. Suffice it to say our expectations were EXCEEDED!
We recently returned after a week's stay in late August. First of all, the owner, Linda, was extremely helpful. She offered lots of recommendations of activities for us to do with our 9 and 11 year-old boys. She even delivered a FedEx package to the cabin that we had shipped to her house. Now that's customer service!
Regarding the cabin, at 1,200 square feet, it was plenty big for our family of four (and our dog!). Even after a week's stay, we never felt cramped - makes me wonder why I built such a large house! :) The cabin is newer, SPOTLESSLY clean, and has every amenity we could want. The kids loved the bunk bed in one of the bedrooms; my wife appreciated having a washer and dryer; the dog loved being on a secluded 5-acre parcel of land; as a family, we made sure we used the hot tub every morning and night; the kids loved the hot tub's 'disco' lights at night.
Being a thrifty family, we didn't want the vacation to break the bank. The cabin has a full kitchen with everything you could possibly need. We stopped at a super Wal-Mart in Cadillac on the way up from Wisconsin and loaded up on food. We were able to eat most of our breakfasts and some dinners in the cabin, and packed sandwiches for hikes and day trips.
The biggest surprise was just how perfect the cabin's location turned out to be! It's a mile from Crystal Mountain (biking, hiking, Alpine slide, water park, outdoor art park, etc.). Towns within 30 minutes drive include Frankfort, Cadillac, Manistee, and Traverse City. The dunes climb is about 45 minutes away.
All in all, our week stay in Michigan was one of the best family trips we ever took. The beaches were fantastic - no crowds, soft 'sugar' sand, no seaweed, and fun waves! One of our favorites was pet-friendly Van's beach in Leland. Why does everyone go to Florida? Another highlight was a 2 hours kayak trip (Riverside Canoe Trips in Honor - near Sand Dunes). Also, we found lots to do in the Traverse City area (the Beach Bums baseball game was a BLAST; parasailing was fun too!).
I cannot recommend this cabin enough. The owners are great; the cabin is great; its location is great; and Michigan is great!!! We will definitely return!!!
