Stowe is easily reached by car. Train and bus services are available into Waterbury, only 15 minutes from Stowe. Jet air service into Burlington International airport is only 30 minutes away, while the Stowe-Morrisville airport for smaller craft is 7 miles north of Stowe village. Rental cars and taxis are available in Burlington, Waterbury and in Stowe. Cady Hill Lodge is conveniently located just south of the intersection of Route 100 and the Mountain Road (Route 108) in Stowe Village.

Ski: From top-to-bottom runs with groomed cruisers to bump runs to some truly fine glade skiing, Stowe has it all. The infamous Front Four (Starr, Goat, National and Lift Line) are arguably the most exciting runs in the East. For the novice skiers and riders, there's an entire mountain (Spruce Peak) criss-crossed with easygoing runs. And with the longest average trail length in New England, be prepared to spend some time on the mountain. While our trails are classic, our lifts are modern. Along with several doubles and triples, we've got a high-speed quad and a state-of-the-art eight person gondola that whisks skiers from bottom to top in a blazing seven and a half minutes.

The pictures don't do it justice!! What a fabulous spot and the house is more than comfortable!! Aside from a sliding door to the deck that was difficult to open and a small weathered spot on the deck, the rooms were a great size and very comfortable. No shortage of TVs, great kitchen/eating area, the play room was great (although a downstairs bathroom would be a great addition) and the grounds were wonderfully peaceful. I would recommend this house (and a trip to Stowe) to anyone who wants a nice worry-free getaway. We stayed with a total of 7 adults and 11 kids and all were comfortable. Would love to visit this house again in the future!!
Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words! We have replaced the weathered boards on the deck and addressed the sliding glass door that was difficult to open. We also have considered adding a downstairs bathroom and hope to do so in the future! Thank you once again for staying with us!

PERFECT Spot for a Group Getaway

The location is perfect for a visit to the Stowe area. The lodge is handy to restaurants, stores, attractions, bike path, and mountain! Even though you're only three minutes away from the village, Cady Hill Lodge gives you the feeling of being off by yourself away from it all. The house has everything you need for a getaway/vacation. All the amenities for cooking in a group and hanging out or grilling on the deck. Piano, multiple big screen TVs with satellite music, sports, and movie channels, WiFi, pool table game room with its own beverage fridge! People can spread out in small groups or get all together in the living room and kitchen dining areas. The deck, yard, pond, dock, outdoor fireplace, and picnic table areas are fantastic for getting together, partying and relaxing. Kid and teen friendly spot, also.

My family of seven adults enjoyed 5 restful spring days in this spacious cabin. The wooded property and large pond add to the serenity of this rustic setting. Easy access to highways, a supermarket, and nearby specialty shops make this the perfect getaway. We truely enjoyed hiking in the woods, experiencing a waterfall, and spending time with one another away from our hectic lives. We plan on returning during other seasons for the many activities available in the area.

Family get-together in Stowe

Cady Hill Lodge provided everything our family was looking for in planning our relatively short get-together in Vermont (where the grandma lives). The location was perfect, the house was ideal, with nice accommodations (clean and well furnished) and ample space (for dining, evening game playing, etc.), to say nothing of the outside grounds (including pond), and the amenities were quite sufficient. It exceeded our expectations. We would gladly return,and certainly would recommend it.

Great place for family reunion

This is a lovely property in a great location. Very spacious & nicely furnished. Loved the pond, the views and the local farmer's market.
- Think carefully about sleeping arrangements, We only had 7 people, but still had problems. Downstairs bedroom smelled of mildew - so was unsuitable for people with allergies. Bed in smallest bedroom was extremely uncomfortable. Air mattresses were available, but we had no way to inflate them. The main upstairs bedrooms were lovely though.
- Only one towel per person and very little toilet paper provided.
- All pool cues had broken tips.
- Great for pets.
- We'd definitely rent again.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words about the Cady Hill Lodge! I am glad you will rent again the next time you come to Stowe. I really value our return guests. I am sorry you had trouble with the sleeping arrangements. Our house features five bedrooms, three of which have a king bed. One of the bedrooms with a king bed also has a set of bunk beds. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed. All of these mattresses are top of the line and have received raved reviews about how comfortable they are. I apologize if the one twin mattress was not up to your standards. If it is uncomfortable, I will look into having it replaced. There are air pumps provided for the air mattresses, I will make sure their location is more closely identified in the future. All broken pool cues have been replaced. We provide 17 towels upon arrival. The basement was inspected following the stay and it DID NOT contain mildew. Stowe had a very damp late summer & there was dampness in the air everywhere. The basement DOES NOT have ANY trace of mildew or dampness. Once again, thank you for all the positive comments. I am truly glad you enjoyed your stay!
