Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Located on Sanibel Island, our unit at the Sanddollar is a spacious 1,660 sq. ft. Luxuriously furnished gulf front condominium. Two bedrooms plus den, 2 full bathrooms. Our unit has a 26' screened-in porch overlooking the ocean. Exceptional view of the ocean from the living room and master bedroom. Master bedroom has a king sized bed, twin beds in guest room and a queen sized sofa sleeper in den. Den closes off for privacy.

The Sanddollar is a low density complex consisting of three buildings, twelve units in each building. Location is centrally located on the island - Middle Gulf Drive. The complex is very well maintained, with lush tropical landscaping surrounding buildings. We have three tennis courts, a nice sized swimming pool and two patio areas with gas barbecue grills.

We have a strict limit of six people in our unit. No pets & no smoking please.

Wow!! That's the only way to describe Sanibel Island Florida...and your outstanding condominium. If I were a cook, which I'm not, the kitchen had everything and the view from the lanai was out of this world. My family and I are coming back again, and again, and AGAIN!!!!

Great spot on the beach

We two couples stayed in the condo and had a great time. The view and pool are great, wi-fi and TV were helpful, and the kitchen fully equipped. The beach in front is wonderful. We went on a shell walk with the Shell Museum's naturalist, to Ding Darling refuge and to CROW wildlife rehab center.

PERFECT!!!

This was our second trip to Sanibel and, Lord willing, not our last! I cannot think of one thing that could have made our visit better (except of course to have stayed longer). Beautiful condo with an awesome view. We just bought groceries and everything we needed the entire week was provided, in home and on the beach. I was traveling with my husband and 20 month old, the beach was perfect and the water was gentle enough for her to enjoy because she didn't mind that it was on the cool side. Joan was very helpful and very prompt in her responses to my questions, she even checked on us to make sure everything was good after we arrived. Would most definitely stay here again without hesitation. I cannot say enough good things!!

Wonderfull Condo

My family and I spent a week on Sanibel island. We loved the condo. It is in a great location and has a great view. The home is beautifully decorated. I was well equipped and had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the beach toys and my wife appreciated the beach umbrella. Joan was great to deal with. We've stayed at a lot of places and would not hesitate to come back here.

Great family holidays

My family and I (my husband and 2 kids, aged 3 and 8) spent 14 days this past August in Sanibel Islands, Florida. We were lodged in a fantastic Sanddollar condo. Second floor, out of three, with a great lanai with a view over the Gulf of Mexico, overlooking the beach. Despite the heat, we tried to have breakfast and dinner there. The lanai was equipped with a ventilator, anyway. The ocean was barely 70 meters away. Seeing the storms coming from the Gulf sitting there was amazing.

But let’s not go too fast. We are from Europe, and found and chose the condo among other many choices. We saw the picture showing the sea from the lanai and made our choice, but trust me, the picture does certainly not do justice to the view. The owner Joan made everything so easy for us, being patient with international wire transfers, sending the keys, communicating by e-mail… The same goes for returning the deposit, she has been “chasing” us for send it back, when we were dragging our feet. We thank her for all that.

The condo was spacious, 3 rooms, 2 bathrooms, and fully equipped. Clean, and well maintained. For the kids, the downstairs [] was full of things and toys to play on the beach, and in the water, not to mention 2 small bodyboards for them. On top of that, of course, the swimming pool, which has barbecues on the side, used to prepare delicious meals at sunset.

The beach was empty. You could see a few people in the early morning, searching for shells brought ashore by the tide, or simply jogging or strolling- Of course, although August is the month when Spaniards take their vacations, it is probably too hot for others. I would recommend acqua shoes, particularly for kids, for both the beach and the water. There are so many shelves, and millions of sanddollars in the water, 10/15 meters from the sand.

As to life in the island, you have several great restaurants. We loved particularly The Island Cow, the Lazy Flamingo and the Mazzaluna. Do not miss the sunset from the access road to Sanibel Island. During our last days, we used to go there to take pictures and just enjoy the scenery and then go to the restaurants. Of course, you also had the usual shopping centres which we enjoyed. We did cook at the condo.

My husband says that it is one of the best family holidays ever. Trust me, the condo help a great deal. If we can, we will certainly try to visit the island and stay in the condo again.

Great Vacation

Thanks Joan for providing a great condo for our excellent Sanibel vacation. The condo was clean, spacious and provided us with everything we needed for a home away from home. The view from the lanai was beautiful. We enjoyed having our meals there. Ocean and pool were just steps away. We would highly recommend this property. We spent most of our time shelling and relaxing, but did enjoy several good restaurants including Island Cow, and R.C. Otter. Joan was very helpful and I appreciate her concern and attention to detail.
