Kealia Landing House sits on a bluff overlooking wide, sandy Kealia Beach with panoramic, unforgettable views of Kauai's east coast extending ten miles to the Hoary Mountain range. From this wonderful cul-de-sac in an historic mill community, recreational possibilities abound! Walk down the path to a breakwater protected section of the beach. Or stroll through secluded beaches for miles on Kauai’s new "Emerald Lei" pedestrian/bike path right below the house. The same historical cane road in the other direction leads you right into Old Kapaa Town.

Floor-to-ceiling windows, ten-foot-high Honduras mahogany ceilings and warm stained concrete floors are just a few of the features of this modern elegant and very private home. Perfectly designed and furnished for three couples; there is a separate den with great views of the Pacific which doubles as an office. The incredible Hawaiiana library houses many books on Kauai and the history of Kauai.

Sit on the lawn and enjoy the spectacular breaches of the seasonal whales as they pass the point. In the evening delight in the refreshing trade winds as myriad seabirds, including Frigates, Boobies and even Albatrosses make their way past to the Kilauea Lighthouse Bird Sanctuary. Enjoy spectacular sun and moon rises over the ocean as well as great views of surrounding landmarks The Sleeping Giant, Kong and in clear weather; the waterfalls of Mt. Waialeale, right from your door.

One wall of the first level great room is nearly all glass with breath taking views of the ocean. The second floor is a spacious master suite with roomy private lanai overlooking the cobalt blue sea. Step out to a lanai with a built-in Honduras mahogany and marble picnic table with Viking gas barbeque. Enjoy the view while dining on grilled island seafood with fresh local ingredients as well as personal favorites.

Easy and equal access to all sides of the island from this wonderful location – plus Kapaa is right next door with its huge selection of restaurants, activities, markets and shops. Other activities nearby include surfing, boogie boarding, kite surfing, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, hiking, golf, shopping and tennis.

The location is ideal for whale-watching.

Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful home. We chose the place for the ocean view and the three bedrooms, perfect for my husband and I, with our parents in tow!

The location is ideal for whale-watching. I saw a few breachings while having breakfast in the morning and witnessed dolphins frolicking as well.

We even tried boogie-boarding and had a fantastic time attempting to ride waves. The trail was a bit treacherous; I would not recommend for older individuals with balance issues. With a pair of running shoes, it is the shortest distance to the beach below.

Everyone had a great time and the size of the home is perfect for three couples. We would definitely stay here again!

Felt like home from the time we walked in the door

We chose this home through Kauai Vacation Rentals & could not be happier with the service...we ran out of propane & someone was here within 15 minutes!

Felt like home from the time we walked in the door. Perfect location for whale watching, sitting eating a relaxing breakfast outside, beautiful sunrise, or driving in either direction of the island.

We have certainly had a fantastic 2 weeks on Kauai and this home has certainly been a big part of that!
