Kealia Landing House sits on a bluff overlooking wide, sandy Kealia Beach with panoramic, unforgettable views of Kauai's east coast extending ten miles to the Hoary Head Mountain range. From this wonderful cul-de-sac in an historic mill community, recreational possibilities abound! Walk down the path to a breakwater protected section of the beach. Or stroll through secluded beaches for miles on Kauai’s new paved 'Emerald Lei' pedestrian/bike path right below the house. Two miles on the path in the other direction leads you right into Old Kapaa Town, according to Forbes magazine; one of the 15 Prettiest Towns in America.
Floor-to-ceiling windows, ten-foot-high Honduras mahogany ceilings and warm stained concrete floors are just a few of the features of this modern elegant and very private home. Perfectly designed and furnished for three couples; there is a separate den with great views of the Pacific which doubles as an office. The incredible Hawaiiana library houses many books on Kauai and the history of Kauai.
Sit on the lawn and enjoy the spectacular breaches of the seasonal whales as they pass the point. In the evening delight in the refreshing trade winds as myriad seabirds, including Frigates, Boobies and even Albatrosses make their way past to the Kilauea Lighthouse Bird Sanctuary. Enjoy spectacular sun and moon rises over the ocean as well as great views of surrounding landmarks The Sleeping Giant, Kong and in clear weather; the waterfalls of Mt. Waialeale, right from your door.
One wall of the first level great room is nearly all glass with breath taking views of the ocean. The second floor is a spacious master suite with roomy private lanai overlooking the cobalt blue sea. Step out to a lanai with a built-in Honduras mahogany and marble picnic table with Viking gas barbeque. Enjoy the view while dining on grilled island seafood with fresh local ingredients as well as personal favorites.
Easy and equal access to all sides of the island from this wonderful location – plus Kapaa is right next door with its huge selection of restaurants, activities, markets and shops. Other activities nearby include surfing, boogie boarding, kite surfing, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, hiking, golf, shopping and tennis.

We enjoyed the views and architecture of the home. Amazing AC not needed.
This home is best strategic location for seeing all of island and weather. We loved it.
We spied at least 20 whales one morning. Awesome! Helicopter ride is a must.
Safari Helicopter most reasonable price and tour was great. Covered the north but wet, wet, wet.
This place is so quiet and relaxing. Perfect for a honeymoon.
Thank you so much! We will be back!

P.S. Roosters? What a surprise...
We spent the first week of our honeymoon at the beach house and loved it! The sunrises in the morning, relaxing on the lanai, the sound system and grilling out with dinner on the picnic table overlooking the beach were some of our favorite things!
We also enjoyed roosters running through the yard. Great location + house - thanks for giving us a great place to honeymoon!

Your mouth will drop when you walk into the door and see this place for the first time! All we could say was "WOW!" when you feast your eyes on the view. The house is at the end of a quiet street on top of a hill overlooking Kealia Beach. You also get views of the mountains from the decks. The house was very clean upon arrival. During our stay we did find a scorpion, geckos, and lizards throughout the property. We also had dolphins and whales outside of the property almost every morning that could be viewed easily from the picnic table outside between 6-9am. I highly recommend bringing binoculars for an even closer look! The walk down to the beach is very sketchy and not recommended for those without good balance. The walking path is very steep and has a lot of overgrown vegetation. Luckily, we rented Jeeps and were able to just drive our Jeeps right down onto the beach. The location of this property is centrally located. The east side of the island can be quite wet at times, so if you want to get away from the rain I highly recommend taking a day trip to the south side to get some sun. However, the north side of the island was my favorite. The north and south sides of the island are completely different. Explore! Explore! Explore!
I gave this property 4 out of 5 because of the following reasons:
-the lighting in the downstairs bathrooms are very dark
-we were missing several knives in the kitchen
-the gas grill outside was didn't have a full propane tank and we had to call mgmt to replace it. Once we got it up and running, it burners weren't fully operational....definitely something they should have serviced.
-the boogie boards were broken and couldn't be used
-they advertise the bike path near the property, but there are no bikes on the property to utilize it
-The pictures also show a garage, but the owner locked it up so the guests can't use it
Couldn't have had a better vacation! Amazing house, amazing location, great beach to walk to with good surfing too.
I recommend having the best shaved ice on the island - Hee Fat Grocery Store. Smith Family Luau is fun and kayaking up the Wailua River is a must!
Dinner at the Oasis on the beach is great, too. The house has everything we need.
Thank you so much for everything!
:) We love Kauai!

You guys thought of everything. The perfect location, house and vacation!

We have stayed at this house 3 times now, and enjoyed it each time! The weather was fine.
We did have problems a few days with strong trade winds. On those days we went to the Salt Pond beach on The South side of the island.
It's a great spot when the winds are strong East or North. The trail from the house to the beach is fine - just watch your footing when it is wet!
One day we drove up to Waimea Canyon, which is a must. The place will knock your socks off.
We went for a horse trail ride with C.M.J. They are good guys, we went with them last year too.
We found a great lunch spot - the Koloa Deli. Whales each day too, about 1 mile offshore.

We had a wonderful week of beautiful weather, incredible views...waking up to that sunrise every morning was beyond words. The yard at sunrise was perfect for yoga...will be hard to go back to the indoors.
So many whale sightings...breaching right in front of the house. Some dolphins one day too!
Path to the beach was no problem and nice to be able to access without driving! Overall an excellent vacation and hope to be able to come back some day!
Kauai’s new 'Emerald Lei' pedestrian/bike path is right below the house. A path leads to the beautiful white sand beach below.
